We returned to Taverna della Rocca after 25 years... and it was like stepping back in time, in the best possible way.
The atmosphere has remained authentic, like it once was, without unnecessary upheavals.
The crescia is truly excellent, made properly, simple but with a flavor that's hard to find today.
It's one of those places that stands the test of time and does it well. If you're looking for true tradition, you're in luck.

We went for lunch and had crescia and cold cuts with vegetables as a starter, very good, the first courses were also good and with generous portions, homemade pasta, lamb as a second course was good, good value for money

The service is friendly, which I really like, but others might not: too bad for them.
The setting is spectacular, being carved partly out of the excavated rock.
There's nothing to complain about the food: well-made and in good quantity.

Taverna della Rocca is located in the hamlet of Castello, on a hill overlooking a vast, sweeping landscape. The home-cooked cuisine features traditional dishes. The tagliatelle, made with hand-rolled pasta, is a must-try. The roasts and grilled meats, cooked in the large fireplace that dominates the restaurant, are also excellent.

A place I recommend to everyone. When we get the chance, we return 3-4 times a year. The place is fabulous, the restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. We've always been treated well, and I send a big THANK YOU.
