We went here on our first night in Sorrento. I had a grilled sea mix, which was very fresh and my girlfriend had gnocchi gorgonzola.
Both plates where amazing. The staff was welcoming, and the food came out fast.
We sat outside in the street. The ambient is very nice and you can talk without problem. The prices where also very good.
We super recommend it if you want to eat good Italian food for a good price.

We were welcomed by Antonio as if we were old friends. What can I say? Genuineness, kindness, and friendliness accompanied an excellent dinner served with care and professionalism. La Taverna dell'800 was a wonderful discovery, definitely recommended for lunch or dinner in Sorrento.

Fairly decent restaurant, nice atmosphere and good prices. Food was adequate, although the pesto pasta was a heavy creamy pasta, which wasn’t clear from the menu description (English). It was nice but very sickly after eating the full portion.

One of the best restaurants we visited in 9 days in Sorrento!!
Nice premises inside, and cozy and charming to sit outside along the narrow street🙂
The food is fantastic, and the staff just as much🤩
If you are in the street with lots of little flags hanging above you, you are on the right track😃

This was a lovely restaurant in a small, quiet side street which was festooned with overhead flags. Two tables were put togrther so that the four of us could sit outside. All the dishes we chose were excellent - lemon spaghetti, lobster spaghetti and truffle spaghetti, enjoyed with a very good rose wine. The service was outstanding and great care was taken with my garlic allergy. I was very impressed when a waiter took my arm and escorted me around the corner to another restaurant with impeccably clean, well maintained toilets at ground level to save me having to negotiate a steep staircase with my walking stick.

Great restaurant, really authentic feel with lovely friendly staff who were really attentive.
We had antipasti and mains and all were delicious. Our young children were sharing a main, and they plated up separately for them.
Really felt like you were dining in a local family home rather than a faceless chain restaurant. A really enjoyable last meal before we left Sorrento.
