The restaurant is located in a charming little square in the center of San Gemini. The place is meticulously maintained and the waiters are very friendly. The quality of the food is truly excellent! A place to mark on your calendar.

A restaurant immersed in the magical medieval atmosphere of San Gemini. Excellent experience, delicious food, and a truly kind and helpful waiter. Even though I'm lactose intolerant, I was able to eat without any problems, even ordering dessert!

Over the weekend we stopped in San Gemini for a quick break and, searching online, we discovered this restaurant just a few steps from the historic center. We ate outside, in a lovely, quiet and well-kept square. The restaurant is not accessible by car, so I recommend parking outside the center and enjoying a pleasant walk through the alleys. The food was a very pleasant surprise: I highly recommend the gazpacho as a starter and the tagliolini with pepper cream... simply delicious! Excellent value for money. An address to keep in mind if you pass by these parts!

During a weekend away from home my wife suggests a stop in San Gemini right in this restaurant, after crossing the course of the wonderful village of the town we arrive at this restaurant with an outdoor terrace overlooking a historic square. We decide to eat inside because the day is torrid, inside tables arranged in a very spacious and orderly way in different rooms in this rustic but refined style restaurant with exposed beams and soft background music. The experience was truly 5 stars, wonderful dishes prepared very well and with natural ingredients and as explained mainly chosen in the area. Excellent wine list with the possibility of choosing by the glass and day with a wide choice. We didn't exaggerate with the order but it was all excellent, appetizer, first course with white ragù, sliced ​​steak with grilled vegetables and truly delicious desserts. All seasoned by the preparation and courtesy of all the people who work in the dining room. We will definitely return to try the other courses of a truly special menu. Congratulations!

Very characteristic place, genuine and locally sourced food, very welcoming staff, kind and attentive to the different needs of the customer: I am celiac and I had no problems with the menu! Everything very good and .... gluten-free!!! Go visit Sangemini, an enchanting village and stop at the Taverna del Torchio!!!

Abbiamo pranzato all'esterno di questo locale in uno degli scorci del paese. Inizio dicendo che non abbiamo mangiato male, i piatti erano ben presentati ma come sapore nulla di eccezionale. Il cameriere che ci ha serviti, un ragazzo giovane e solare molto disponibile ed educato. La nota dolente è stato il conto non tanto per il prezzo delle portate ( anche se far pagare un piatto di pennette al sugo per una bimba 9€ è un furto) ma per aver fatto pagare il coperto 3€ a testa anche a una bimba di 1 anno. In 3 (2 adulti e un neonato) 9€ di coperto è vergognoso.

All'ingresso del bellissimo centro storico di San Gemini si incontra questa taverna molto carina. Il menù vario e ricercato, è ottimo. L' ambiente rilassante e cordiale garantisce una piacevole giornata

17/07/2025: The atmosphere is welcoming even if it only maintains the appearance of an old trattoria, old colored chairs, bar chairs but not well organized so much as to cause confusion to the eyes, but still comfortable, the atmosphere and the choice of setting clashes with the dishes that are served, in fact the restaurateur's choice is to serve the food in modern plates and in small quantities and not adequate for the price paid!! Furthermore, for 15 years now it is no longer expected that a restaurant charges a cover charge, the food is still of quality and that is why I chose to give 4 stars, as well as for the owner who welcomes customers who is courteous and helpful!!! Suggestions: the dining room setting needs to be revisited, food needs to be served in adequate quantities both for consistency with the restaurant's classification as a "trattoria", and for the tableware used, which is inappropriate for a trattoria, as well as for the quantity offered and above all for the asking price... I would add that it is useless to offer negligible discounts... it is better to adjust the price to the quantity...
29/06/2025: The dishes were good, typical, as you would expect from a trattoria. The guy who serves and takes the orders was very precise and professional in describing the dishes, very kind. Nice experience

15/07/2025: Nice place with outdoor seating available. I tried a local dish—pigeon in olive sauce. It was a small portion but very delicious and flavorful. My family also enjoyed their meals. The service was okay—don’t expect smiles or warmth. It felt strictly business, and at times, it seemed like the staff didn’t enjoy being there.
