Taverna del Pittore In Arona

Nice restaurant located in the pedestrian area of ​​Arona. It has a terrace (closed with glass and directly on the lake) where you can eat while looking at the magnificent panorama of Lake Maggiore. You can also have lunch (or dinner) inside the restaurant in a very intimate and quiet atmosphere. The menu includes a few dishes, but all cooked very well. The quality/price ratio is normal for this type of restaurant.

Tonight I visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience did not live up to my expectations. The food was okay, but the flavors were mixed and confused, which made it difficult to fully appreciate them. Although the price was acceptable, it cannot be said that the quality justified the cost. The place, on the other hand, is nice and elegant, but what really ruined the evening was the attitude of the staff. At the end of the dinner, while we were having a pleasant chat, the waiter intervened unexpectedly by presenting the bill and asking for immediate payment even though there were still people at the tables in the place. This was definitely inappropriate and broke the atmosphere of the evening. In conclusion, although the restaurant has potential, there are fundamental aspects that need improvement, especially the education and respect of customers.

The restaurant impresses with its stylish ambience, fine cuisine and a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore. Unfortunately, the experience is significantly marred by poor service. A rude, assertive service staff (presumably head waitress) does not fit into an upscale restaurant concept. The requirement to order at least two courses per person is communicated in an unfriendly tone. The service is also inattentive: water is neither refilled nor asked for, salt and pepper have to be requested several times, and the espresso is served lukewarm. Despite the excellent cuisine, the poor service leaves a negative overall impression.

Very pleasant restaurant with surprising Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes are very tasty, colorful and well served. A treat for the taste buds.

We had lunch on the veranda overlooking the lake: fascinating. The staff was professional, kind and prompt. The dishes are excellent even if they need some adjustments. Good wine list. Price in line with the quality of the food and wine, as well as the service and location.

In una struttura carica di storia,un ambiente raffinato ma accogliente. Ottime la cucina e la presentazione dei piatti. Il personale di sala ti coccola per tutto il tempo senza essere invadente. Unico neo della giornata il meteo avverso..

Sono anch’io una ristoratrice e osservo ogni cosa con minuzia. Il locale è ben curato , il personale cortese e molto professionale, bravi tutti ma allo chef va il mio complimento maggiore… strepitoso! Complimenti dal profondo del cuore e …del gusto.
