Taverna del Lupo In Gubbio

The service during dinner was excellent, but honestly, being greeted by an empty counter upon entering and being ignored by the staff for five minutes isn't pleasant when you're hungry. The location, for a taverna, met expectations, but what caught us off guard were the prices, which, to quote another reviewer, were more like those of a gourmet restaurant. The first courses were exceptional, the combination of ingredients unique and delicious. We had the lasagnetta and strangozzi, highly recommended and reasonably priced (perhaps the lasagnetta portion could be slightly larger). What disappointed us was the Cinta Senese fillet with fondue and truffle, €30 for a small piece of meat with a layer of fondue the size of a slice of cheese... You can't go hungry after eating a lasagna and fillet for €50 (excluding wine and cover charge). Highly recommended tavern if you want to eat well, but I think the prices should coincide not only with the quality of the food but also with the rest.

What can I say? Definitely the best in Gubbio. Perfect for a romantic dinner.

I've known this restaurant for several years and have been there several times for the Piatto del Buon Ricordo, and this time too I found the excellent cuisine I remembered. A must-see if you're in Gubbio. The service and helpful staff are perfect.

We had a truly pleasant experience at Taverna del Lupo. The atmosphere immediately fills in, inviting you to enjoy your meal slowly. We loved the way we were served: with attention to detail and anticipating our needs. The waiter who looked after us was impeccable: kind, knowledgeable, and at the same time very professional, capable of making us feel pampered without ever being intrusive. The cuisine is excellent, faithful to the Eugubine tradition, with authentic and flavorful dishes. The prices also seemed fair and in keeping with the quality of the food and service. A place we'll gladly return to, not just for good food, but to rediscover the warmth and care that make a lunch special.

A beautiful, characteristic restaurant in Gubbio. Good, plentiful food. The desserts are excellent. I went on an organized trip, so I don't know how much the lunch cost.

It's a tavern only in name...a restaurant with a capital "R"! Delicious and always well-balanced food...impeccable service...a special location! I've read about the owners being unkind...but I can say the opposite! Kind but above all attentive! Paying a little more is fine...gentlemen...you always have to put things into context!!!

Locale sito nel centro di Gubbio molto curato nei particolari. Ha una carta dei vini impressionante con centinaia di bottiglie e di cantine diverse. Ho preso un tagliere di salumi tipici della zona ed un primo di pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale, tutto molto buono accompagnati da un calice di sangiovese umbro.
