This is my second time here. The food is absolutely delicious, and the price is reasonable, considering you're just steps from Piazza del Popolo. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and they're always prompt in recommending dishes, even to foreigners (they wanted the carbonara with ravioli!!!!). I'm taking one star off only because of the long wait (about half an hour), which could be improved.

We arrived late into Rome and were looking for some feel good food after a long day of travel. We normally try to use Google and search for restaurants 4.5 and above so La Taverna Del Costa would not make the cut based on it’s present rating.
However to pasta Vongole and Mushroom/Sausage Penne were outstanding. With a half carafe if house red we had a great meal. We were met by the staff with smiles and great service. It was a humble yet warm environment, that just served the best everyday food.
It deserves a much higher rating and is Excellent value.

Even if it’s not a fancy place, this is a hidden gem, at least for Romanians. We felt so good, lady Elena was such a kind lady and she took care to serve us well and give us all the info we needed. The food was really delicious , with decent prices.
It’s that kind of place where you want to come again. Good food, good service and good hospitality!

Despite its simple appearance, I enjoyed a good risotto. It was slightly too salty, but since I like salt, I was able to finish it without any problem. It's a shame that you can't order the arancini and cold pizzas offered downstairs when you eat upstairs. Otherwise, it's a good place to remember. Thank you!

We sat down for a quick aperitif advertised at €6.
Table service; with the aperitif, they bring you some beautifully made but tasteless French fries.
The cocktail was good; if you ask for a second set of fries, it's €2.
Worth revisiting.
