We spent three days in Assisi and found this restaurant for dinner. After trying it on the first night, we decided to eat there the other nights as well. What can I say...a truly beautiful, well-kept place with very kind and helpful staff. The cuisine is traditional Umbrian, using top-quality ingredients. If you're passing through, you absolutely must stop by this restaurant. A tip for dessert? Order the chocolate cake, it's divine. Thanks to all the staff.

The Taverna dei Consoli restaurant enjoys a simply perfect location, right in Piazza del Comune. The setting is elegant and well-appointed, combining historic charm with a welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed, and throughout the service, the staff was friendly, professional, and always available. The dishes we sampled were truly delicious and prepared with top-quality ingredients. The bill was reasonable for the excellent quality of the food and the attentive service.

Friendliness and quality are the hallmarks of this lovely restaurant in the center of Assisi. Traditional dishes are well-served and well-recommended, complemented by an excellent wine list. We spent a couple of nights in Assisi, and I regretted staying there the second time, too. Everything was truly delicious at reasonable prices! Highly recommended.

Cured ham and toasted bread with chicken liver pate Homemade pasta with white truffle Grilled sliced ​​veal steak Tiramisu Everything was of extremely high quality and delicious. I ordered the steak medium-done, but medium-rare might have been better. I went there shortly after it opened, but it filled up after a while.

A truly excellent dinner in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The host was friendly and we shared old acquaintances. Worth mentioning were the tagliatelle with truffle, the guinea fowl medallions, and the chocolate cake, which is hard to make with such perfection and flavor.

28/02/2026: We've been coming here for years. The staff and the food are both solid, and they're two elements that can't be separated. The specialty is meat. Another specialty is the Maître d'. He makes the desserts, welcomes you, recognizes you, and always offers two dishes off the menu. Something we appreciate and try. The quality is unquestionable. The wines are unquestionable. The wine selection we request must exclude the usual winery known for its Sagrantino. There are dozens of local wineries that make a Sagrantino that's superior to the renowned ones, if not "marred" by the name. Take their advice and you'll find yourself in a new world. Price should be the least of your worries. Here, we're at the level of Michelin-starred cuisine.
27/02/2026: Second visit, the restaurant really lived up to the reviews. This time I had grilled meat, the fillet with truffle was extraordinary. Everything was delicious with competent and polite staff. I will definitely be back.

01/01/2026: An inn nestled in the green Umbrian hills near Montefalco, with an adjoining guesthouse. Found completely by chance, it turned out to be a huge stroke of luck. Welcoming, intimate, very rustic and warm, the restaurant proved to be an incredible refuge on a bitterly cold New Year's Eve evening, offering a rich and unique à la carte menu drawing on local specialties. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish and were delighted by the attentive and courteous staff, who were incredibly helpful and attentive to the needs and schedules of each table. The price was completely in line with the service and quality of the dishes offered. The panettone, of course, homemade with all-natural and local ingredients, with creams, recommended for dessert, was so good that we purchased one separately at the end of the dinner. Worth noting was the great humanity and sensitivity shown during an unpleasant situation between a couple at a nearby table. With great tact and delicacy, a very subtle intervention was implemented, which completely resolved the situation. I take my hat off to the attentive service from the owner/chef and the staff. Overall, therefore, a 10+++ rating. Not much to report, but a truly delightful discovery. Congratulations, well done!
