Taverna dei Consoli offers the perfect mix of elegance and soul. I came for lunch and was blown away by the ambience — soft jazz, local people celebrating a small wedding, beautiful art on the walls, and views over the town’s stone alleys.
The tagliata was one of the best I’ve had in all of Italy — perfectly grilled, juicy, full of flavor. The grilled vegetables were delicious and aromatic, simply melting on the tongue.
The wine was excellent, and the service was attentive, discreet, and genuinely kind.
If you're in Assisi for lunch, this is not just a meal — it's a real experience. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant in Piazza del Comune, in Assisi, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the square.
Unfortunately, we booked in the morning for lunch and there was no place outside, but the interiors were also valuable, with beautiful paintings by Norberto on the walls.
Classic cuisine, good quality. Courteous and helpful dining room staff.

Attentive and punctual service, not intrusive, friendly. Restaurant always managed by a family from Assisi and for this, perhaps, you feel pampered!

My partner and I took a trip to Umbria this week to relax and one of the best moments was spent dining on this beautiful terrace. In addition to the excellent quality food and impeccable service. Wonderful place in the center of Assisi, we ate on the terrace, refined and excellent food, the staff......what can I say fantastic, and since it was my birthday cake with a candle. We can't wait to go back. Today was the first time. Thank you !!!!!!!

Last Monday my friends and I had dinner at the Taverna dei Consoli. The staff was helpful and friendly, the environment is suitable for all ages. The dish I recommend is FRESH PASTA STRINGOZZI MODA DI NORCIA (sausage, truffle sauce and fresh cream). Excellent starters. Absolutely must try!

Il ristorante malgrado sia in pieno centro con una terrazza fantastica che affaccia direttamente sulla Piazza del comune non è per nulla turistico. La location interna è molto bella e curata, personale gentile (soprattutto il proprietario) ottimi piatti. Abbiamo preso un tagliere di crostini ai fegatini e crudo e fiori di zucca. Di primo: tagliatelle al tartufo e mezze maniche alla norcia. Tutto ottimo! Consigliato....
