Highly recommended, it's a shame it was closed the next day for a weekly rest day, otherwise we would have returned. Everything was excellent, even the two guys, Emanuele and Francesco, were really good. As soon as we can, when we return to Assisi, we'll definitely return. 🤗

Located in the heart of Assisi, I had lunch on the terrace overlooking the square. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere: elegant and bright. The owner is an added bonus. Traditional dishes with authentic flavors, attentive service, and a fair bill made the experience truly perfect. Highly recommended!

Enchanting location, a prime spot with a terrace overlooking the Piazza del Comune. Excellent dishes, served by staff and the owner who make you feel at home. The truffle egg is highly recommended. The perfect spot for an excellent lunch in the heart of the city, without falling into a tourist trap.

Excellent quality food and very attentive and welcoming host

A quaint and very beautiful place... we ordered a platter of delicious cured meats accompanied by excellent wine, followed by the mezze maniche with truffle cream, sausage, and cream... exceptional! Highly recommended for the quality/price ratio. The staff is very professional and friendly.

I hate to disagree with most here and perhaps it was an "off" night, however our experience was mediocre at best. We were sat right away. Thats a plus. We looked at the wine menu and it was much higher priced than all the other places to eat. All the way up to 555 euro. The cheapest was 23 euro. Not bad and the wine was good. The service was awful. The waiter didnt smile the entire time. In fact he barely said a word. I get Italian may be y9ur native language but at least smile and make people feel they're wanted there. We ordered a cheese plate as an appetizer, then our main courses. 10 minutes later the main courses came out...no cheese plate. Ok misunderstanding. We said no cheese plate. Its ok. We'll just have our main dishes. We repeatedly said no. Out came the cheese plate 5 minutes later. Ok another language barrier perhaps. However what cant be excused was the food quality. My wife ordered gluten free pasta with red sauce. It was awful! Im not a gluten free person but we've had much better GF pasta here in Assisi. The sauce was overly salty and just inedible. The cheese was good so we actually are glad that came out after all so she could eat. I had the sliced veal. It wasn't bad. Again, maybe it was simply an off night and language barrier, but I cant suggest this place for great food. Ambiance, absolutely. Too cold for the balcony but I imagine it would be breathtaking. Also on a side note, there's only so many times I can hear Elton Jihns rocket man techno version on loop. I like Elton John as much as the next but I would have much preferred some traditional Italian music. Please give it a shot yourselves. You may have a much better experience. I can only tell you what we encountered. That said if you read this and are GF, there are much better options to be had.

The food is delicious and regional. It’s a wonderful restaurant. Would highly recommend a reservation as it is popular.

Taverna dei Consoli, with its panoramic terrace, is a marvel in the heart of Assisi. The owners, Maria Rosa Tiradossi and Moreno Santocchi, are truly delightful. My husband and I were pampered from the moment we stepped inside. The bruschetta with warm bread and fresh olive oil was excellent. We loved the appetizer of a basket of red onions and a cream of parmesan and pecorino cheese. I had the pappardelle with red wild boar ragù, and my husband had the rib-eye steak. Everything was delicious. The staff is friendly and attentively oversees the arrival of the dishes. Many of them feature truffles, sliced ​​or grated in front of the customer. To finish: panna cotta with caramel and pistachios. A tip: go there, then stop by the nearby Bottega dei Sapori. Another feast for the eyes and the palate.

Trattoria dei Consoli exudes an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. It was recommended to me by Fabrizio of "Bottega dei Sapori," and I have to thank him because my wife and I had a wonderful time. Here you'll find meat and fish, and delicious homemade olive oil to enjoy on warm bruschetta. My rating: top!
