Piombino is worth a visit not only for its beautiful seaside town, but also to visit Simone and Fabio at La Taverna. Their cuisine is always innovative and the fish is incredibly fresh.

My girlfriend and I happened upon this place for dinner and were in for a very pleasant surprise. The food was high-quality, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Plus, the owner is incredibly friendly and approachable! Special mention goes to the lactose-free options, which are varied and available for every course, even without prior notice. Truly something you don't often find.

Seconda volta in questa piccola chicca di Piombino. Qui, ci si estranea da ciò che ci circonda e si rimane. Si rimane tra le risate, tra gli sguardi felici e tra quei momenti silenziosi dati dall’estasi culinaria. Qui si mangia divinamente, pesce fresco e vino buono. Io ve lo consiglio, nuovamente.
