All very good, attentive and kind staff, they made us feel at ease, despite the inexperience of some junior waiters. The amouse bouche of a fifth quarter of fish and the dry aged fish carpaccio were much appreciated. The manager, despite being too bright at times, was kind in finding us a last seat and friendly in his service. Location in the main street softened by many green plants. Bring anti-mosquito lotion (common in Piombino)

We went last Saturday for lunch. External table. We decided to ask the manager for advice and it was truly a riot of goodness. The skilfully prepared fish we tasted was truly exquisite. I recommend this place when you want to try something special at reasonable prices.

We ate last night in this slightly dark but very nice place, everything was very good and the focaccia bread made by them was exceptional, the owner was very nice and kind, our waiter was a little too serious and serious, perhaps due to the lack of experience and age.
Unfortunately my stars are only three because in my dish of steamed prawns and scampi I found intestines in the scampi and even in one, when I removed the head, a very black liquid like ink came out, I wanted to point it out but I had people at the next table and I didn't like arguing, I put it in plain sight hoping it would be noticed, but when it was taken away by the waiter, he didn't say anything, so never mind.

Excellent food and lovely location in the old village. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions we had a splendid lunch. the owner was very efficient in resolving the situation which, given the day, was also fun. I have no doubt that I will return to try other dishes.

Well... I think I was unlucky because the place is beautiful, the staff welcoming, nice presentation of the dishes..... but..... the flavors didn't impress me... too bad.... it can happen

Durante una serata estiva nel centro di Piombino, ci siamo fermati alla Taverna di Boncompagni.
Pioveva, l’atmosfera era perfetta, e ci hanno trovato una tavolo per due all’esterno.
Avevamo inoltre i nostri due cani, i quali sono stati accolti senza alcun tipo di problema.
Il proprietario e i camerieri sono stati gentilissimi, cordiali, a modo ma allo stesso tempo divertenti e spiritosi. I piatti erano curati nei minimi dettagli, a partire dal crudo come antipasto fino al dolce.
Ci torneremo di sicuro, magari questa volta con il sole.
