Lunch on our way back from 20 days abroad, the best possible way back.
Excellent seafood spaghetti, incredibly delicious fried calamari, incredibly tender fish, and a light, non-greasy fried dish. We finished with tiramisu, and they offered us their apple pie with gelato on top—delicious. The atmosphere was truly relaxing, and Roberta, who assisted us during lunch, was truly friendly and helpful.

I came with my girlfriend around September... we were looking for a place to eat and following the reviews we were intrigued by the taverna al boccale. Everything was excellent and the staff were super friendly and ready to welcome us. We had the tuna tartare (spectacular) and then 2 first courses, the gnocchi with crab and lemon (delicious and flavorful but the gnocchi should have been cooked less because they were a bit mush) and risotto with asparagus and seafood raguttino (spectacular, perfectly cooked al dente 👍). The place was very beautiful, we sat on the veranda with a view of a small river with some ducks, beautiful... we are from Milan but if we were to ever return to Portogruaro we would very much like to return!!

A restaurant tucked away beneath the arcades with a picturesque garden right by the river, it offers excellent local cuisine, a wide selection of wines in the attached wine shop, and very attentive service with Roberta as the hostess and Davide in the kitchen. Moderate prices, daily specials, tables of all sizes, a cozy atmosphere, and occasionally a discreet DJ... A must for visitors to Portogruaro.

A truly positive experience!
The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff is highly trained, kind, attentive, and above all hospitable.
I've been there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner with my partner, and both times I was blown away.
Their sliced beef with potatoes is truly exceptional (I've never tasted anything so good before), and the wine is top-quality, carefully selected.
Furthermore, the tranquility and atmosphere of the place are the icing on the cake.
