Target In Roma

Top atmosphere, beautiful environments, staff always available and attentive. Good and refined dishes. The icing on the cake was Lucia's smile at the welcome and Simona's in the dining room.

Oh, what a lovely place! we got a recommendation from the hotel and we went back there every evening. Everything was delicious. We tried different dishes and it was all good. The service is pleasant.

Unfortunately, we ended up in the middle of a children's party at 21:00-23:00. It lowered the rating considerably, which would have otherwise been a great place.

Octopus on creamy potatoes was our favorite but all meals were great. Best in Rome.

We had a good risotto and the octopus was excellent. We had lunch, but I recommend it especially for dinner.

Incredible food and service. One of the best dining establishments near Termini. Do not skip the dessert!

Nice atmosphere and very friendly Overall, everything is delicious and I get the feeling that the cook is really good and cares about it. The famous lobster pasta was so-so, but it was still a lot for two people. My personal recommendation is the beef steak. The quality and taste of the meat were surprisingly excellent. If you come here, be sure to try the dessert tiramisu.

On our 2nd night in Rome, my wife and I dined at Target since the restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel and we were jet lagged. Sadly, we were very disappointed in the overall service and quality of food. The beef carpaccio was chewy and the mussels were not fresh. The veal scallopini was tough and the carbonara was mediocre at best—not what you expect when dining in the heart of Roma. On a positive note, the Amarone was good and fairly priced and our table by the window overlooking the cobblestone street was nice. The service was attentive when we first arrived until a large private party showed up and then the service was basically non-existent. I wish I could recommend Target, but unfortunately, I can’t. There are much better restaurant options in Rome.

We had found a few candidate places for lunch between sites we were visiting. However, the first two seemed really busy, cramped, and without much in the way of inside tables for dining. We passed Target and opted to go back as it looked like it would offer a more relaxed lunch. It is about 2 blocks off Via Nazionale. We were seated promptly. The clientele seemed to be local business people including some military. Just before we left, they also welcomed a large Japanese tourist group - they seemed to head off to some private dining area. It was a busy place, but wasn't overwhelmed when we first arrived before noon. I had pear and truffle ravioli. Other members of our group got a pizza and pasta carbonara. The pasta dishes both had good feedback. The pizza was just ok. Prices here were in line with other Rome restaurants, though we usually ate in slightly cheaper places for our lunches. This was more like a dinner venue. I'd consider returning here for a lunch or dinner if I were back in Rome again.
