A Cilento trattoria, with truly delicious local produce. The pizza is the local "scrocchiarella" variety, and the value for money is truly excellent.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The only downside is that it's a bit warm inside because there are only ceiling fans and no air conditioning.

This typical, simple trattoria, frequented by locals, is open for lunch and dinner, including Mondays. It offers a limited selection of authentic, traditional dishes, including first courses, meat, all kinds of raw and cooked vegetables, and pizza. Very reasonable prices, and above all, it's far from the bustle of the coast. It's located along the convenient main road of the small village, with quick and easy parking along the flat road (a rarity in these parts). You can eat inside (pleasantly furnished) or outside (with tables on the quiet street). A bowl of water is always kept for the village's peaceful dogs. Signora Maria is very kind, and the background music is excellent, reminiscent of '80s Italian music. They might even offer you a coffee when you pay at the counter. Don't be in too much of a hurry.

Maria and her restaurant are always a guarantee. I have been going there for many years and her authentic Cilento food has always improved. I love the pizza with dough that is not the classic Neapolitan, but more reminiscent of the old local dough. The Taralluzzi appetizer is very good and the fusilli with mutton sauce and goat cacioricotta are out of this world. Prices are below average. If you don't know it, try it and you won't regret it.
Fusilli with sauce, a nice plate of vegetable appetizers, a large veal chop and fried potatoes (generous portions!) wine and water, coffee is free. Bill 35 euros!!!

Premesso che non è la prima volta che visito questo locale voglio finalmente scrivere una recensione
per testimoniare che qui si mangia cilentano. Escludendo le pizze (non di mio gusto), la cucina parla cilentano dalla a alla zeta. Ci sono però ampi spazi di miglioramento. Capisco che un menù stringato è anche più semplice da eseguire anche col ristorante pieno, personalmente però andrei a ripescare le più vecchie ricette del Cilento per una garanzia di unicità, per caratterizzare in maniera definitiva la cucina. Un consiglio poi, troppe cianfrusaglie alle pareti, pochi pezzi ma scelti bene toglierebbero l'aria di rigattiere che al momento c'è. Qualità del cibo buona ma non eccelsa, servizio spartano (e ci può anche stare in un'osteria), prezzo onesto.
