Tanuki Izakaya In Roma

It's not often you walk into a restaurant and feel transported to another world, where time slows down and every dish becomes an experience. At Tanuki Izakaya, this happens surprisingly effortlessly. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a welcoming and thoughtful atmosphere: soft lighting, Japanese decorations, anime posters, and countless details that make the place unique. It's a place that makes you feel good and manages to convey a sense of Japan, even from afar. The tonkatsu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a perfect balance of textures and a flavor that reaches an amazing level of UMAMI. The other dishes—udon in broth, takoyaki, and chicken nanban—were also excellent, meticulously prepared and crafted with evident passion. The service was quick and friendly, despite the restaurant being almost full. The waiters are attentive and always available. Tanuki Izakaya is not just a restaurant, but a little corner of Japan in Italy. A place where you can eat well, relax, and want to come back as soon as you leave.

I ate well, and the prices could be a little lower for what you get. Attentive service.

Nice Japanese restaurant, not your typical all-you-can-eat, but a true restaurant with Japanese dishes and flavors. Everything was delicious and truly Japanese, except for the Harami (a special meat) that wasn't up to par. The bill was a bit high, but it was the drinks that really drove it up. I'll definitely be back.

Great place for those who love Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!

i went here for a first date and it was one of the best experiences i’ve ever had. the food was amazing and reminded me a lot of home. the staffs were very welcoming and helpful. we ordered the udon, gyoza, and takoyaki—all of it was so delicious. i went here again with the same guy from that first date for a valentines day dinner, safe to say this restaurant has become our favorite!

Serata con amici a provare questonlocale giapponese dove trovi tutto tranne il sushi. Parcheggio arduo,ma impazienti di provare la cucina orientale diversa dal banalissimo sushi.. Locale molto ben concepito e con sala in cui a gruppi si mangia in condizione di isolamento e privacy. Arredi e gusto Made in japan e nella tradizione del Sol Levante. Si parte con antipasti. Misto di gyoza di diversi tipi: tutti in perfetto equilibrio,ottima fattura e umidità centrata al sapore. Spiedini misti di pesce e carne con una panatura ed una cottura eccezionale!! Crocchette di polpo da leccarsi i baffi!! Bao burger con salsa teriaky e ti innamori di questo piatto fusion in cui l’hmburger si sposa con il delicatissimo pane bao e con la tenue teriaky sauce che lo esalta!! Il ramen asciutto (non in brodo) vale il prezzo del biglietto: perfetto,equilibrato,speziato al punto giusto e con spaghetti squisiti!! Un assaggio ai risi con verdure e con gamberi è d’uopo ed entrambi superano il test “delizia” con il loro sapore deciso e piccante al punto giusto!! Pollo fritto con riso e salsa al curry ti manda in visibilio! Dolci ottimi: japanese cheese cake delicatissima con salsa ai frutti di bosco e semifreddo al tè verde davvero sfizioso. Se avete voglia di mangiare benissimo,di sentirvi in Giappone sul serio e con sapori lontani dal tanto inflazionato sushi,siete arrivati nel posto giusto!! Sapori autentici, piatti squisiti, prezzi nella media di quelli che si possono trovare a Roma, servizio preciso, veloce e cordiale. Abbiamo preso takoyaki, yakisoba, tempura unagi e di pollo speziato al curry, gyoza di maiale, gelato al macha, millefoglie, più una bottiglia di sakè ed era tutto ottimo (forse la millefoglie un po' asciutta, ma con il gelato è stato un buon abbinamento). Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consigliamo vivamente!
