Highly recommended for anyone in Paolo Sarpi who wants to eat excellent food at a reasonable price.

A decidedly rustic place, and let's just say the welcome isn't exactly warm. The dishes, however, are all tasty, perhaps a little over-seasoned at times, and the service is very quick. The prices are absolutely reasonable, so all in all, it's a place I'd recommend.

The food is very good, but every time I go I end up feeling sick, which is a shame! The prices are more than fair.

Everything was delicious, the only flaw is that even if you are sitting at a table you have to queue outside the shop again to order other dishes

Legendary place! Amazing organization, there was a line to get in, but it was super fast. You order from a menu while you wait in line. Service is incredibly fast, and the kitchen is open, so everything is made fresh. The menu is a feast with many traditional and typical dishes, generous and flavorful. A must-try! We arrived hungry and devoured eight dishes between the four of us; we started out hungry, but finished out of gluttony! We're from Florence, but we might return to Milan just to have lunch here! I know, I'm overly enthusiastic, but truly, congratulations! Everything is excellent and authentic, and the prices are very fair. The atmosphere is casual, but ultimately, each table has its own "privacy." Highly recommended for an experience on Via Sarpi.

It's a quiet place; you order at the counter, choose a table, and the food arrives a few minutes later.
It's good, but the food isn't freshly made; there are pre-made dishes, and this is noticeable in the textures. Overall, it's affordable, the flavors are traditional, and the service is fast.

So, a few years ago, I gave Tang Gourmet the following rating:
5 stars overall, 4 stars for both service and ambiance. I don't remember how or what exactly I wrote because, listen to this, Go. og unexpectedly REMOVED my review (which was actually positive!!) without providing any explanation, citing the usual vague "violation of internal rules" or whatever.
I feel sorry for Tang Gourmet because at this point they're the ones losing out. I want to edit my review (which I obviously forgot I left years ago; I don't know why it was only censored now!), lowering the rating: no longer 5 stars but 3. Compared to when I gave the first rating, which was erased by the "g" thing, I've unfortunately had to realize that the restaurant has deteriorated significantly in the meantime.
The first time I noticed it, I thought it was just a fluke, but then I went back two or three more times, bringing friends, and I saw that it remained the same: noticeably worse, even mediocre. What a shame!! The food was really good for little money, with super-large portions that you could take away if you had any leftovers. This option obviously remains, but it's the flavor of the food that has changed: coarser, "weird," bland; perhaps they've adapted it to the always very generous Chinese clientele, I don't know. I'm not expecting a Chinese restaurant merely tamed to our tastes, but with such a shift in flavor compared to before, I really wouldn't have expected it. Few appetizing dishes, the meat is tough and flavorless, and the broths are more watery than flavorful. I don't know, but what happened? Has the management changed? Did they see that it's always busy anyway, so they figured they could lower the quality without hesitation? Just a bump (or two, really) along the way? Well...
It was my favorite place to go with friends for a "royal" lunch without spending too much, but obviously that's not the only criterion; then you might as well get a sandwich at the bar. So I don't think I'll go back, or I certainly won't bring my friends, because I didn't exactly make a great impression on them, let's face it... Too bad!

The various dumplings here are pretty good, especially their 上海生煎包. There’s some inconsistency of the quality though, with some days being better than others. Avoid the other dishes though, they aren’t anywhere near as good as their dumplings. Service is curt and borderline non existent but the upside is that it moves tables and gets you your food fast

My friend and I had the ravioli and curry rice with chicken. Everything was delicious, and they served us very quickly. The restaurant was clean, and we didn't have any problems.
