I've been going to India for almost 30 years, so I know its cuisine well, which I love. This tiny restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indian food in Bologna, with very fair prices and generous portions. Truly exceptional.

Writing as an Indian: it's a takeaway place where you can find satisfying North Indian food (much better than some restaurants in the area). Obviously, the taste is adequate for an Italian-European clientele, but the food here is good. I would also recommend trying the kebab and lentil and meat dishes, especially the palak chicken (chicken in a spinach base with typical North Indian spices).

Food was decent, their butter chicken definitely didn't taste like butter chicken, I think they took some different curry and added butter on top.... nonetheless, price and quantity was good and I'd come back again.

The food tasted milder than I expected, perhaps adjusted for local preferences, but it was still enjoyable. The service, however, truly stood out- the gentleman at the counter was exceptionally polite and welcoming.

Taj Mahal

24/02/2026: Very good restaurant, extremely friendly staff. I read many reviews about the extreme spiciness, but it's certainly a matter of habit. I personally didn't find it that extreme. The spiciest dishes are marked, and obviously, we're talking about very spicy dishes. Besides the chili pepper, the spices also contribute, but it's all bearable if you're used to enjoying spicy dishes! The icing on the cake for a dinner at the Taj Mahal is the mango lassi at the end of the meal, but it also helps tone down the heat if you like. ;) The rosewater one is also excellent!
14/02/2026: A welcoming restaurant with traditional furnishings and refined, delicate cuisine. The staff is always friendly and attentive to requests. An excellent journey through Indian delicacies at a fair price. I highly recommend it.
