Taberna Santona In Sassari

Excellent food! Apparently, the chef buys what's fresh from the market each day, and creates the day's menu. As a result the menu changes each day. It also makes a refreshing change from the same dozen-or-so dishes other establishments all serve-up. I felt the (utilitarian) central lighting didn't do the restaurant justice (unlike its brightly-lit, or cosily-lit competitors) but the food more than makes up for it.

Locale piccolino ma molto accogliente, ti senti subito a casa! Le ragazze che ci hanno servito sono state gentilissime❤️ Il locale offre un menu del giorno che cambia di volta in volta, si ha la possibilità di prendere un piatto a testa o di fare degli assaggi di alcune portate ( gli assaggi si possono tranquillamente dividere tra due persone ) Abbiamo scelto di prendere 7 assaggi da condividere e che dire, uno più buono dell’ altro!! I dolci poi, buonissimi!! Sopratutto la torta al cioccolato, spettacolare!!!😍 Non vediamo l ora di tornare in questo bellissimo locale!!

I loved ❤️ Delicious and particular dishes. We opted for the tasting menu and the dishes were all truly delicious. We also ordered desserts, spectacular!! Very nice and welcoming location and attentive and kind service :) I highly recommend!!!

Very good table. Very tasty cuisine. And a very nice welcome from the father and daughter (the two artists in the kitchen) we had a good evening!

Traditional dishes that have everything to satisfy French palates, stews, soups, cooked cuisine, plus charming hosts who speak French better than us Italian, and, which doesn't spoil anything, more than reasonable prices 8^)

What can I say? They are a gem in the historic center of Sassari, really good typical dishes, they have the particularity that the menu varies every day, impossible to get tired of! Tasting or dish formula to enjoy different ones..! And then 5 stars to the very nice waiter (whose name I don't know) but who is that icing on the cake when you sit down for dinner! I wish it were like this everywhere!

No pasta, no pizza!!! ... and that's a good thing. A really tasty change with local specialties.
