Lobster pasta was sadly under cooked. Not al dente... 2/3 of the linguine was white on the inside as it hadn't been cooked yet. I can see in other reviews people have had the same issue specifically with the lobster pasta linguine. There are however other pasta options on the menu where neither us or others have had any challenges - so opt for that, appears the chef is yet to master the cooking of the linguine...and perhaps some pride getting in the way if adding another minute to the boiling and admitting he was at fault all this time. We also had the Ravioli with truffle and creamed cod, it was nice. A selection of oysters that were of good quality. Superb service. I would try this place again but skip pasta dishes and aim for the seafood and fish or meat/steak
Milan Restaurant that locals recommend has a small terrace, beautiful atmosphere inside.
Waiters are friendly and welcoming, but their memory is not very good.

Overall a pretty good experience.
3 different appetizers and 2 main courses - everything tasted good . Wine list is interesting and extensive ( I saw a few wines that r not very common ). Service was friendly and attentive ( few minor hiccups , but the place is very busy ). Atmosphere - yes the tables r close together but it's a popular spot.

We are passionate about cooking and regularly frequent high-quality restaurants, both in Italy and abroad. For this reason, we went to Da Giacomo with high expectations, intrigued by the restaurant's fame. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, especially in relation to the prices requested.
We ordered scallops au gratin, oysters, gnocchetti alla Giacomo, tortelli cacio e pepe and raw red prawns with lime and bottarga. The dishes, although well presented, were not accompanied by any explanation or introduction from the staff. In a restaurant where each course starts at a minimum of 30 euros, we expect not only attention to detail, but also a description of the dish, its raw materials and its composition. This element was completely missing, making the service seem rushed and impersonal.
Furthermore, during dinner, we found a hair in one of the dishes. A serious and unacceptable episode in any context, even more so in a restaurant that aims to position itself in the high-end range.
The location also did not live up to expectations: the tables are very close together, completely depriving the environment of that exclusive atmosphere that one would expect from a restaurant of this level. More than a refined experience, it seemed like a "passing" service, lacking the care and intimacy that should characterize a similar place.
In conclusion, we do not question the quality of the raw materials, but the experience did not justify the price paid. We will not return, and we do not feel like recommending it.

Ristorante iconico milanese. Professionalità, qualità e ottima gestione del tempo e del servizio. Piatti di pesce di livello assoluto. Il prezzo è oggettivamente un po’ eccessivo ma paga l’esperienza.
