Da Giacomo In Milano

Although I enjoyed the experience of dining at Da Giacomo, I have to knock a star off as the food did not match either expectations, nor the high price tag. I must commend the service as we had a lovely waitress who was attentive and funny, a total pro. The atmosphere for me, also, was top notch. Beautiful old world glam, chandeliers and waiters in crisp white livery. The wine we had recommended was fantastic. Lastly, the food. The oysters were lovely. I had the poached egg starter (under seasoned and lacking somehow) and the Spaghetti Vongole (gluey and overly salted). My partner had the baked scallops and tortellini with raw prawn, both of which he liked. Dessert was a real let-down: we had the chocolate cake which we found to be dry and lacking in style and richness.

Historic restaurant in Milan, the environment has its own charm and the welcome makes us feel at ease. The service was excellent as were the dishes we ate. We will be back, the only small complaint perhaps is the portions, but we will be back!!!

Great seafood selection. Especially raw Tuna Tartar. The prices are high, but they are worth it.

I had high expectations for dining in this restaurant, but unfortunately, this restaurant fell a bit short for me. The food was decent, but it didn’t quite capture the richness and depth I was hoping for. We tried gnocchi, various pastas, and a few starters, but nothing truly stood out as exceptional. It’s an okay spot, but I didn’t experience the unforgettable flavors I associate with Italian cuisine. Perhaps others may enjoy it more, but I’m not sure I would return.

We had a fantastic time enjoying lunch here. The raw fish appetizer was absolutely delightful. The oysters, pasta with clams, and seafood stew were all wonderful too.

Although the head waiter was very attentive and friendly, the waiters were very sullen... spaghetti with tomato sauce was like spaghetti with tomato sauce and was hard. Therefore, there was no special situation. White truffle tagliani was not bad, you can try it🤙

Highly recommended, one of the best food that I’ve ever had. Try the risotto and the sea bass 👌

The food was truly delicious, the service was worthy of 5 stars. Very relaxing and intimate atmosphere. The place is really special, very original.
