If you're in Venice and happen upon Gelatoteca Suso, there's one flavor you absolutely can't miss: mixed berries with Opera chocolate. Simply incredible. The combination is spectacular: on one hand, the fresh, natural tang of the mixed berries; on the other, the intensity and creaminess of Opera chocolate. Together they create a perfect balance, the kind that makes you stop for a moment and think, "This is really well done." The gelato itself has a super creamy texture, and you can tell they work with high-quality ingredients and more elaborate combinations than usual. It's not your typical gelateria; there's intention behind every flavor. One thing to keep in mind is that it's usually quite busy, but the line moves quickly and it's totally worth the wait. In short: one of those gelaterias that lives up to the hype, and a flavor combination that, honestly, I would order again without hesitation.
