If you decide to go to Raffaella and Maurizio, it is good to imagine going to meet people who know how to welcome you with the same warmth and attention that they reserve for old friends.
Sud is a small urban jewel, in a lively and joyfully teeming place; the care in the reception can be seen in many small details, from the blankets available for those who decide to eat outdoors, to the careful and evocative musical selection, passing through the presence of the very polite and friendly owners, without affectations.
The kitchen is small and lives up to expectations, colorful and light. Vegetables are preferred, always seasonal and tasty, and some hints of the sea for those who wish. Cellar full of proposals, transversal and refined in labels. All strictly Southern.
Strongly recommended, not only in company: alone you can enjoy the small Piazza Birago eating delicacies in total bliss.

Great restaurant with very good food and natural wines. I was there alone and felt very comfortable, not least thanks to the friendly host couple.

The environment is welcoming and with noteworthy details, but what enhances the restaurant most is the cuisine: exquisite and unusual dishes, made with wisdom, creativity and passion that is transmitted to the palate. Compliments to the chef! To try and try again

When a philosophy oriented towards the search for the quality of raw materials (and wines!) meets the talent of a young chef, who we will probably hear about in the future, the result is a sensationally unexpected little restaurant.
The vegetable foam could easily be on the bistro menu of a starred restaurant.

Congratulations, a welcoming, cozy place that puts you in a position to relax. Particular menu but above all a restaurant that respects the raw materials, in my case the vegetables, maintaining their consistency and flavour.

Ho scelto questo ristorante cercando sui social, incuriosita ho prenotato per due. Non conoscevo questo quartiere di Perugia, da riqualificare, ma come un fiore che nasce dalle macerie, c'è questa osteria del Sud su una piazzetta, animata da ragazzini che giocano a pallone.Il locale molto carino, pulito numerosi libri arredano e incuriosiscono. Ci portano un menu particolare non i soliti piatti di pasta o carne, tutto valeva la pena ordinare; carciofi, puntarelle, cannoli di baccalà, abbiamo assaggiato molti piatti e tutti ottimi,. Le materie sono ricercate e comprate con la meticolosa cura di Maurizio. Bis di carciofi e per concludere dolce spettacolare, la crema inglese era sublime e la ricotta con pere fantastica, la ricotta eccellente sembrava provenire dalla Sicilia invece Maurizio la compra da un pastore sardo. Ottimi vini da poter scegliere dagli scaffali oppure chiedere consiglio a Raffaella l'oste che semplicità professionalità vi consiglia ottimi vini, re del ristorante il tarallo "nzogna e pepe".se state pensando non può essere tutto perfetto c'è una critica personale, era un pò freddino per me. Grazie torneremo sicuramente è stato bello scoprirvi a presto Rosa

Perfect dinner, few menu items, but excellent dishes. I recommend trying the different dishes by sharing so you can enjoy different dishes, suitable for vegans.
Excellent wines especially from the South.
I tried the artichokes, (exceptional), the chicory, the cod cannons. To conclude, the desserts are spectacular, excellent raw materials. I can't understand how I missed this restaurant that opened in 2017! I invite you to book you will be satisfied and it will also be a nice surprise for you.
