Historic pizzeria in San Lazzaro, management and pizza chefs have changed several times, today it makes a decent pizza but nothing more, long gone are the days of Francesco (the original..) and his brilliant pizzas.
However, it is still a good choice if you are in the area, an air-conditioned environment inside or a covered but open-air veranda.

The pizza was not as I had hoped. The dough in the crust was ok, while the rest was raw and chewy. The cause was attributable to too much mozzarella, which after cooking had clumped together and created a lot of liquid. Furthermore, the raw ripe tomatoes placed on top of the mozzarella before cooking also created too much liquid. The pizza was therefore too wet and therefore not to my liking.
I had booked a table outside, but at 8pm it wasn't possible because it was too hot. I sat inside, but since everything was full and the doors were all wide open, the temperature wasn't exactly pleasant.
The menu can only be read with the QR code, there is no paper version.

I have only ever done delivery so I can't comment on the place and the service but I can guarantee that the pizzas are exceptional! Last night I also ordered the cheesecake and obviously they didn't disappoint! Fantastic, I hope to be able to come in person soon!

Traditional Neapolitan style pizza. Quality and abundant ingredients, large pizza and excellent dough.
Beers on tap and in bottles or cans, all artisanal and excellent.
We will be back with pleasure!

It's a cross between a pizzeria and a pub, very nice, the food is of truly superior quality, if you're looking for something different you'll find it there.
