I have been to Ristorante Stella a number of times over the last 4 years. The food is always excellent, the service is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. Last night I had the carcoifi fritti, ossobucco, panna cotta and a wonderful Raina white wine. I could not have asked for a better dinner. For the first time I also stayed in one of their rooms, which was above the restaurant. The bed was possibly one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and with a fun/interesting design. I highly recommend both their rooms and the restaurant!

found the restaurant through the Michelin Guide, as it has a Michelin Plate, and I had expectations to match—but they were not met. Everything was fine, but that’s about it—I expected something more. The food was tasty, but nothing that really amazed me. The wine was good, though I missed any explanation about it when it was served—not even the basic details were provided. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant. However, the kitchen was very slow – for three courses plus dessert, we were there for 2 hours and 20 minutes, and we waited (too) long between courses. On a positive note, they easily adapted the dishes to be gluten-free, as I have celiac disease.

This is a hotel with an inn. We both stayed there and enjoyed the food. The hotel is very charming, with thoughtful and stylish furnishings. It's truly welcoming and clean, with spacious rooms and beautiful views. The food at the inn is truly excellent, with meticulously prepared dishes and a clear focus on slow food ingredients. Breakfast is truly a special experience, featuring refined and carefully selected ingredients, served per person. The restaurant is suitable for both families and business travelers.

We came to this restaurant to try pigeon for the first time. We were impressed by the elegance of the place and the preparation and friendliness of the staff. I recommend anyone coming from out of town like us to stop by to experience local flavors in a splendid setting.

17/02/2026: A small, well-maintained and well-organized trattoria in the center of Assisi. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to offer excellent suggestions on dishes to choose from. It was a pleasant discovery; the dishes are excellent, and the ingredients used are top-notch. All at a fair price. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by; you won't be disappointed.
12/02/2026: I had the pleasure of having lunch at this restaurant, which I found by chance on Tripadvisor, inspired by the reviews. What can I say? The experience was simply excellent. The place is small but welcoming, with attention to detail; you feel at home from the first moment. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. The cuisine is truly excellent: dishes prepared with quality ingredients, strangozzi with truffles are truly excellent! A tip for the chef: dare to add a little saltiness to the penne alla norcina (it's a bit on the mild side 😉). Special praise goes to the owner, whose welcome was impeccable. Kind, attentive (even to our wallet), and always available, he manages to make every customer feel important and welcome. His professionalism and friendliness truly make the difference. To finish, the semifreddo affogato with coffee, whose hot/cold combination was much appreciated.
