Excellent restaurant with a magnificent view of Amalfi. We had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you 🙏

Our experience was very pleasant! It was January, so in winter, restaurant choices were limited. Thankfully, Stella Maris, was open in the early afternoon. We ordered the caprese salad and the Almalfi lemon pizza to share. The Messina beer was a great pairing to go with the pizza. The pizza was the best we’ve had! 🍕We loved how it was light and creamy. It had a white base with lightly smoked mozzarella and lemon zest. Delicious 🤤 Our server/owner chatted with us about his families restaurant history. It was started by his grandparents who moved to the states then moved back to Italy and opened the restaurant in the 1920’s. Situated on the beach, it was a perfect location to watch the rolling waves of the sea.

Since it was the off-season, they didn't seem to be open until late at night, but we started dinner in the evening and enjoyed some seafood. It was a wonderful time with a slow pace and delicious food. Seafood is definitely recommended.

23/08/2023: Abbiamo cenato alla Giara, di Portopalo, nei giorni di ferragosto. Il ristorante si trova nel porto di Portopalo ed in estate c'è molto spazio all'aperto per mangiare fuori. Location bella e semplice. Il menu è ovviamente di mare, dagli antipasti al secondo con la scelte per diverse opzioni "menu degustazione". Noi abbiamo preferito optare per i primi - visto il bellissimo aspetto captato dagli altri tavoli e gli accostamenti accattivanti - e per un fritto misto. I piatti sono stati tutti molto apprezzati. Abbiamo scelto un vino dalla carta, anch'esso molto apprezzato (Aretè, Casa Scalecci, Portopalo). Prezzi a mio avviso giusti, viste anche le porzioni abbondanti. Servizio attento e cortese. Ci tornerò sicuramente volentieri.
18/08/2023: Consigliato vivamente. Ottimo rapporto prezzo cibo. Gli antipasti sono eccezionali e molto abbondanti (8 piattini), il menù completo è validissimo. Lo spada di secondo era squisito e cotto ottimamente. Vista la dovuta spesa, torneremo quanto possibile
