Stano Ristorazione In Matera

When we arrived in Matera we had booked a few days before. They welcomed us discreetly and made us sit in the mezzanine room. Nice place, fast service, however after a few minutes we ordered A Broad bean and chicory with fried onion and a Fried Matera consisting of Lampascioni, ricotta, cod, artichokes and bran, both excellent as first courses, an Orecchiette with turnip greens, anchovies and fried breadcrumbs, bran, and Spaghetto alla guitar with red prawns, lemon, prized truffle (this perhaps a little too much lime) accompanied by a Malvasia Lucana, tiramisu and meringues with almonds and bitters and coffee... I count a little more than 50 euros each... a good experience

Restaurant with a simple environment, such as furnishings and premises. Unfortunately a little cold, perhaps due to the height of the rooms. Excellent welcome with warm bread and locally produced extra virgin olive oil. Good and particular mixed starter, first course a little lacking in seasoning (mussels and clams), but of quality. Excellent wine. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent dinner! The elegant and quiet environment, the excellent service, and the food... to die for! From the appetizers to the dessert everything was truly delicious. Highly recommended!

We just finished dinner here and we are more than satisfied. We are an hour away from Matera, if I had to choose a place to return to have dinner here, I would come with my eyes closed! Modern, quiet place, attentive and kind staff, menu offering not too broad but well selected. Everything was good, especially the bread with oil... 10!

I recently visited a restaurant that absolutely amazed me. From the very first moment, I was delighted with the atmosphere - cozy interior, pleasant music, smiling staff. As soon as I looked through the menu, my appetite increased several times - I have not seen such a variety of dishes and drinks for a long time. After a successful choice, I expected the food to be good, but it exceeded all my expectations. The dishes were cooked superbly - juicy steaks, tender meat, aromatic sauces. The chef clearly knows his business and knows how to please guests with his culinary masterpieces. The service also left only positive impressions. The waiters were attentive and polite, all the dishes were served on time, without unnecessary delays. I was pleased that the few drinks were also well taken care of - the coffee was hot, the wine was cool. After such a great evening in the restaurant, I can definitely recommend this place to all my friends and acquaintances. I will definitely come back again to enjoy delicious food and excellent service. How wonderful it is to be met with such pleasant impressions!

We chose to dine at Trattoria Stano because, as fans of the 4 Restaurants program with Alessandro Borghese, we were curious to discover this place. The experience was exceptional from every point of view! The restaurant is beautiful, with an elegant and romantic atmosphere that makes it perfect for a special dinner. The menu is full of typical dishes of the Lucanian tradition, with attention to the smallest details and truly delicious. Each course was a discovery of authentic and unforgettable flavours. Great praise goes to the staff, extremely professional and attentive to every need, making the evening even more pleasant. Five well-deserved stars! An experience that I absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Matera.

We were 2 adults and 1 little girl for dinner. We were welcomed to a table on the mezzanine with warm bread and top-quality oil. We took a first for me and a second for my partner. The spaghetti alla guitar with prawns and truffle was exquisite. I tried the second course, i.e. pork cheek with potato puree and carrot and ginger puree with very tender meat, perfectly cooked. Aglianico del Vulture. The presentation, cooking, quality, selected raw materials were the expression of a chef worthy of the name.

Excellent experience, we tasted typical local and abundant dishes. Right quality-price ratio and correct waiting times. I recommend it when returning from a walk among the stones as the place is located in the area.

5 stars are not enough to say how fantastic this experience was. As our first evening in Matera we were lucky enough to eat in this welcoming place both in terms of the location and the unique service of Antonio (whom we thank again warmly for everything) and lastly and not least for the excellent food we ate . A place a stone's throw from the stones of Matera, well furnished and with beautiful vaults! Typical food of the area truly impeccable! Welcoming and very kind staff. As an appetizer we had the fried dish with typical products of the area and the sheep soup with mixed vegetables while my girlfriend ate the pork cheek, all recommended!! For your next visit to Matera it will definitely be a must-do!!
