Stano Ristorazione In Matera

Great restaurant, we ate very well, typical local dishes. Perfect service, very kind staff and great welcome with warm bread and local extra virgin olive oil. Excellent value for money.

We had dinner on Sunday 2 March in this restaurant, we were two couples, the food was nothing exceptional, the younger waiter was cute and smiling, the other waiter was very self-contained. The thrust in the evening was the gentleman who made the cash for us...those who pay in cash get a discount, those who pay with a debit card have no discount!

We went to this restaurant with excellent expectations but, in all honesty, I wasn't very happy. Let's start with the welcome from the gentleman at the checkout (a little detached but appropriate for the place). We are directed upstairs. I didn't really like two waiters speaking in dialect and the table light that kept going on and off (perhaps it was empty?!). Menu with QR code printed on a non-functioning vase. I found the glass chipped (and that's okay, I understand that it can happen, I'll report it). We order a 30 euro bottle of wine and the waiter's comments on the bottle were already superfluous (but I imagine it's folklore). They bring us bread with oil (very good) but we ask for a saucer so as not to drip the oil on the tablecloth and we are told: <we don't bring it>. I insisted and after a long time (by now we had eaten and dripped) they were brought to us. We get appetizers for two that are absolutely delicious. We took two first courses but the one with mussels and clams was chock full of garlic: inedible. The other with crusco pepper was delicious. The first dessert requested, if I'm not mistaken the tartatenne, the answer was: <there isn't one. I have to tell the owner to remove it from the menu because it has never been there>. Second dessert was delicious. Total price paid €130. Correct price for the raw materials but I do not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent dinner we decided for a tasting menu. Wide choice of dishes and quality of raw materials. The environment is modern, clean and the service is impeccable. Advised !

Having happened by chance we had a really pleasant experience and tasted a donkey steak for the first time, everything was ok

We have been traveling throughout Italy for two weeks. We passed through Lucca, Naples, Amalfi, Puglia and now Matera. This meal was as balanced as possible. A subtle balance between traditional recipes and elegance in execution. Congratulations to the artists in the kitchen and thank you for the attentive service.

In vacanza a Matera ci è stata consigliato questo posto ed è stata una cena ottima. Un posto da consigliare …vivamente a chi vuol scegliere un ottimo posto.

Bella la location e buone le portate che abbiamo ordinato, in particolare i ravioli di zucca e la guancia di maialino nero. Anche il servizio è stato all’altezza delle aspettative.
