28/04/2026: The restaurant is located at the entrance to the charming village. It's truly characteristic: the exterior is shaped like a castle, hence the name, and the interior is full of themed memorabilia, including a portrait of the bandit Giuliano, whose house is nearby and can be visited by reservation (very interesting). We had lunch on a beautiful veranda overlooking the village.
Even though it was a holiday and the restaurant was packed, we ate really well. All traditional Sicilian dishes: the appetizer was excellent, featuring fried patellas, flavorful vegetables, sfincione, meatballs, savory mushrooms, local cheeses, and cured meats. The first course was delicious paccheri topped with yellow squash, sausage paste, and pistachios. The second course was excellent, featuring delicious local meat (sausage, roulade, toasted slice) with baked potatoes. To finish, a razor clam and an excellent coffee.
Excellent value.
We'll be back and highly recommend it.
