04/11/2023: I traveled to Puglia with Classic Journeys in September of this year. One of our stops was to have lunch at Masseria Salamina, as well as to visit the nearby cacti & succulent gardens, which were AMAZING!. Lunch at the Masseria was delicious and the service was superb. The food and wine kept coming. First was the antipasti followed by the most incredible eggplant parmesan I've ever had. There was pasta as well. I think there was a fish dish, but after the eggplant and pasta, I was stuffed. The setting was gorgeous. We dined in an open-air gazebo surrounded by vegetable and herb gardens - - everything was fresh! "Farm-to-table" was literally "farm-to-table." Our servers were super. There was a young lady with long brown hair who was fantastic! A beautiful afternoon spent in Puglia.
