A jewel nestled in the dazzling landscape of Tuscany, Italy,
I traveled to Pienza, a city steeped in the dazzling beauty of Tuscany, and experienced unforgettable local flavors.
There, I sampled dishes made with traditional Tuscan "Pici" noodles.
The pici noodles, with their chewy texture reminiscent of plump udon noodles, were paired with the deep, rich flavor of black truffle (Tartufo Nero), filling my mouth with the aromas of the forest. The tomato-based lasagna I ordered alongside, too, was a harmonious blend of soft, layered textures and rich sauce.
Of course, the texture was a bit different from the popular pasta style I'm used to in Korea, and the unique heaviness of the dish made me feel a bit greasier. A sip of refreshing sparkling water, however, cleansed my palate and allowed me to resume my meal. The rustic yet hearty local flavors made my Pienza memories even more special.
It was delicious. I recommend it.

Incredible food, the best meal I had in Italy, impeccable!!!
The food was very typical of the Tuscany region, but prepared with refinement.
The experience is well worth it.
We were extremely well attended to by the owner, who was helpful and attentive in every way, explaining the dishes in detail.
The gastronomic experience will remain in my memory forever, thank you.

We were lucky enough to eat in the small square (Piazza di Spagna) in front of the restaurant, where there are also two other restaurants. The service and food were excellent, and they even took great care of our dog!

Cute small restaurant, great atmosphere. Had a slow-cooked pork knuckle, was one of the best meat dishes I’ve had in Italy. Strongly recommend.

A wonderful experience at this restaurant, which we discovered by chance, or rather by the aroma emanating from its dishes as we passed by. I was looking for another one, but in the end, we decided to try our luck, and I don't regret it at all. First, we ordered Pici al ragù pientino and Pici al truffle pientino (the menu photo may differ slightly from reality); both dishes were very good. To share, we opted for the Chiada eggplant parmesan, which I fell in love with as soon as I tasted the tomato sauce (one of the best I've ever had, and I love that kind of sauce). The experience was very positive, although if you're afraid of wasps, you should sit outside, as at times you'll almost have to share your dishes with them (for me, it wasn't a problem, since if you don't do anything to them, they won't do anything to you either). In short, if I were to return to Pienza, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

It may look like your average little Italien restaurant, but Sperone Nudo is anything but!
I wandered in with my wife on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff.
The restaurant was filling up quickly but we managed to snag a table.
We ordered the pecorino fondue with truffle and the grilled steak with artichoke to share.
The pecorino fondue was a little bomb of cheesy goodness, and the truffle was tasty but not overpowering.
When our steak arrived , our expectations continued to be exceeded. The steak was on the point and the artichoke fresh and crisp.
At the end we had a dream of pistachio as a dessert and we were planning our next visit.

We stumbled into this spot after sunset in Pienza and oh my goodness… best meal of our time in Italy! We got the pecorino cheese plate, the pumpkin lasagne, the bean soup and the meatballs- every single dish was 10/10. Yes, it is pricey but worth the cost in my opinion!
