Quality, not quantity, is king here.
Quality local products from Viterbo or Italian producers specializing in unique ingredients. If you're looking for a place to eat until you drop and pay little, this isn't the place. Instead, you'll find seasonal dishes that showcase local produce and craftsmanship, not to mention a vast selection of wines. Careful research and attention to detail are key.
And the quality-price ratio is absolutely competitive.
It deserves more than 5 stars. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this place by chance. We booked it through Booking.com. It's a restaurant/pizzeria with six rooms upstairs, mostly used by pilgrims on the Via Francigena. It was a surprise. The place is nice and well-kept. The rooms are large, comfortable, and simple, yet very cozy. The restaurant/pizzeria is excellent. The food and drink are excellent. Excellent wine list. The food and wine are especially local. The focus is on organic, local, and social aspects. A great experience.

We stayed and dined at S'Osteria38 during our trip to Acquapendente, and the experience was truly special. The property is conveniently located on Via Cesare Battisti, just steps from the center and along the Via Francigena. The atmosphere is refined, modern yet rustic, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed from the moment we arrive.
The room we slept in was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The furnishings are simple yet tastefully chosen, and the attention to detail is evident. The quiet of the area and the tranquility of the property ensured a truly rejuvenating sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to accommodate every need with a smile.
Dinner at the restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. The menu offers traditional Italian and Lazio dishes, but with a creative twist that makes them unique. We sampled dishes such as chicory fo'caccia with roast veal and grilled scamorza cheese, and gorgonzola, ricotta, and pear tortelli: both delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The desserts were also excellent, and the wine list offers interesting local labels. The service was attentive and friendly, with a young and passionate staff.
One detail we really appreciated was the establishment's philosophy, which combines dining and hospitality in a coherent and sustainable way. S'Osteria38 is also a social cooperative, and this is reflected in its attention to the environment, the quality of its ingredients, and its commitment to the local community.
In short, S'Osteria38 is the ideal place for those seeking an authentic experience, featuring good food, a sincere welcome, and a relaxed atmosphere. We would gladly return, either for another dinner or for a longer stay.

A truly well-kept and clean place, with an excellent breakfast featuring local organic produce. My only small criticism is that there are no USB ports in the rooms to charge electronic devices.

We had a great time. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds comfortable, and the restaurant/pizzeria was good. It offers cuisine based on local products. The atmosphere is youthful and cheerful. Plenty of space. A carefree atmosphere.
