Excellent restaurant!! We tried several raw appetizers, fried fish, and two first courses. What can I say? The quality of the raw materials of the raw fish is excellent and the preparation technique of the cooked dishes is impeccable. All accompanied by a very good white wine, recommended by the waiter, very good and served at the right serving temperature. Merit bonus for the tranquility of service that creates a magical atmosphere together with the panoramic view that the restaurant offers. A truly unique experience! A dream imperial crudo! I highly recommend it to other guests too! We also had the ravioli with sea urchins.... Spectacular! An explosion of flavors from the sea! Play it safe by going to Sole 1936.

During a lunch by the sea in Rapallo, we chose Sole 1936, attracted by the fish cuisine offering and the beautiful location. The experience overall was positive, although not without some small disappointments. We started with an appetizer of mussels (muscles) and an octopus salad: both dishes turned out to be excellent. The mussels were very fresh, well cleaned and tastefully cooked, while the octopus salad stood out for the tenderness of the octopus and the simplicity of the dressing, which left room for the flavor of the sea. As a second course, we tasted the mixed fried calamari, well executed: dry, crunchy and tasty, without excess oil or heavy breading. A simple dish, but which is often precisely why it is difficult to find done really well. The sore point, unfortunately, is the first course: spaghetti with seafood carbonara, which had been described to us as one of the house specialities. The idea was interesting and the aroma promising, but the pasta was definitely overcooked. The spaghetti was sticky, and the consistency also penalized the overall flavour, so much so that I wasn't able to finish it. A shame, especially considering the attention shown in the other dishes. We accompanied lunch with a bottle of rosé, perfectly in line with the lightness of the dishes and very pleasant to sip under the Riviera sun. The service was informal but kind and attentive, without long waits and with helpful staff. The prices are quite high, but largely justified by the quality of the raw materials and the location. However, on a main dish such as seafood carbonara one would expect impeccable execution, especially if proposed as a flagship. In summary: Sole 1936 offers a good quality fish lunch, with fresh raw materials and carefully prepared dishes. A few details to improve in the kitchen, but overall a good experience. Would we go back? Yes, with the hope of finding seafood carbonara in the form it deserves.

Rudy (the owner) was extremely nice. Teresa was our server. The food was next level incredible. Sitting on the bay, opposite the rest of Rapallo, beautiful view. Can't ask for more.

A wonderful lunch! Excellent and well prepared food. Impeccable service, extremely kind staff. The wine list is really interesting. Very clean environment and exceptional sea view. If I could go to Rapallo every week I would always eat there. I recommend it to everyone

In una parola: eccellente! Ottima proposta vini anche locali e cocktail. Il menù propone proposte sia di pesce che di carne( noi abbiamo optato per il pesce): piatti deliziosi e ben presentanti . Una chicca? La panna cotta al basilico con olive e pinoli caramellati Personale gentile, competente e attento ad ogni esigenza. Consigliato se si vuole mangiare bene pagando il giusto . Abbinamento vini da dessert consigliati ad ogni dolce : azzeccatissimi! Talmente buoni che siamo stati sia a pranzo che a cena !!!! Da provare!!!
