Since I was leaving Rome tomorrow, I carefully searched for a place to have dinner.
The atmosphere was exactly what I loved, and the menu was beautifully presented and thoughtful.
The staff was friendly and helpful, so I had a comfortable meal. When I told them I was on my honeymoon, they offered me cookies and lemoncello.
I hope I make some wonderful memories on my last day.🥰

The food was magnificent and delicious. My husband and I had the tasting menu. All dishes were thought out to perfection. All ingredients complimented each other. The homemade cookies and the limoncello was a bonus at the end. The service was also top notch. We will definitely come back and eat here again.

If money is not an issue for you then Sofia is fine, not exceptional, however, the menue is varied and the food and presentation well done. However if you are an ordinary tourist on an ordinary budget stay well away from Sofia Roma, my whole evening and experience was ruined when I came to pay the bill, only to discover the house wine, per glass, was E20 a glass, two glasses added E40 to my bill. I was not informed of the price of a glass of wine and felt screwed by the waitress and owner. Certainly not recommended for someone looking for a traditional Italian meal and an affordable price!!!

We had an excellent lunch at Ristorante Sofia and which out of a 3 week tour of Italy, ended up being probably our favorite meal.
We had the steak tartare, seafood ravioli, and n’duja calamari which were all amazing. The deserts were also fantastic.
We enjoyed the meal so much, we reserved for dinner the same night to try the tasting menu. This place was honestly better than two Michelin starred restaurants we have tried.

The place looks good. Clean, with well-arranged tables. Courtesy and kindness provide honest, well-executed service, but the food...ah, the food! A discovery! The calamari with 'nduja! And the other dishes with unusual yet delicious pairings, like the parmesan ice cream. Must try!
