Welcoming place and very friendly staff. As soon as we arrived, they brought paper and pencils for the two children in our group to color in. The food was excellent. The dumplings with gorgonzola and walnuts were the best I've ever eaten. The goulash with polenta was authentic and not too spicy. The price was right. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent downtown location, pleasant atmosphere, and attentive service. The maltagliati with venison ragù were excellent. The lamb ribs were expensive for the small portion they served.

Christmas lunch, warm and friendly staff, in a traditional, well-maintained restaurant. Excellent and varied selection of starters, main courses, and desserts, including vegetarian options. The local wine was excellent, but it did increase the price, compared to the average review.

We visited the restaurant 2 consecutive nights while staying at Ortisei. Ordered the Tris de bales and Maltagliati with roebuck ragout on the first night and went back to try the Spätzle, lamb chops and chestnut dessert. Foods were amazing and delicious. The restaurant setting was cozy and service was great and attentive. Thank you for the complementary hazelnut liquor too. 👍💯

Unfortunately, the unfriendly service overshadowed the otherwise delicious food. We didn't feel welcome and weren't treated like guests.

We ate here 3 days in a row. Very little open at end of summer season but we really enjoyed each meal. It was sunny and it was lovely on the little outside space. The pasta dishes were wonderful including the spinach gnocchi and potato gnocchi. Wine and beer are good as well. Service was really nice and the staff attentive and inviting.

12/01/2026: We stopped in on our way back from a hike, without a reservation, around 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon in January. The staff was incredibly kind, quickly setting up a table for two and sitting us down. Creamed porcini mushrooms for both of us, followed by dessert and coffee. The next day we used their takeout service.
10/01/2026: I'll start by saying that this review only concerns the restaurant. We've been visiting the restaurant at least once every year for the past 15 years. It was always very good. This year we went again and were disappointed. The portions were much smaller than in previous years, and the prices were much higher. The quality of the food wasn't worth the price. I don't think we'll be back.
