We all visit Venice for the history and tradition. This is a place, bar and Bacaro, that preserves the culture of the tramezzino. an institution. A guarantee, cheap, it serves a very large number of customers who on nice sunny days can consume the take-away food in a square along a nearby canal. From the station is a 15 minute walk. I would suggest getting your sandwiches/trammezzini before lunch time so as not to encounter the huge crowd of customers that crowd this Bacaro, to book if you want a seat, to be patient and kind with the owners who are very kind with the large amount of people they have to deal with.

Huge choice with also vegetarian options, all the sandwiches we tried were very good. Small place and it's hard to find a seat but the service is fast and it's worth the wait.

Having eaten dozens of sandwiches 40 years ago, you notice that they are half the size and cost (proportionately) twice as much as they did then. But La Toletta is an institution, the product is good, the service is friendly and attentive, compatible with the crowd of customers that populate it, especially during lunch. Long live the La Toletta bar.

If you go to Venice you absolutely have to go to this iconic bar for their sandwiches!!! Fast, good and at a very good price!!! I would recommend it to everyone visiting Venice

Definitely the best tramezzini in Venice.....for decades.

For the best Tramezzini in Venice we came to Bar alla Toletta. There was a huge crowd of locals and tourists, which is always a good sign. We ordered 4 tramezzini to take away and consumed them on a park bench. All varieties were fantastic. The Tramezzini were very soft and melted in your mouth. Absolute recommendation for a snack in between.

It seemed like a really authentic place and the spritz is delicious. There are several tables to sit inside or you can take away. Unfortunately they don't have anything vegan, but those who ate the sandwiches told me they were very good
