Skipper In Stintino

05/07/2025: We stayed a week in July, my 6 year old daughter and I with my best friend and her 7 year old son. The holiday overall was very nice but because the location of the hotel in the beautiful Baia di Conte is priceless, because the company was great and because all in all the food and the room were not bad. Also close to the beautiful Alghero! But calling this hotel a 4 star is a sacrilege. I travel a lot. I have been both in hotels in Sardinia and in villages and I must say that this one perhaps barely reaches 3 stars. The structure is very very dated and completely left to itself. The air conditioning in the restaurant area did not work for a week and in the common areas in general, with 39 degrees in Alghero you understand that it can be a problem. They "solved" only the last two days by positioning two enormous air conditioners that blasted air at 16 degrees that if you passed in front of them you risked congestion. Luckily the room was nice and spacious and the air conditioning worked there (even though I heard that in some rooms it didn't, I would have run away from them). The TV in my friend's room didn't work until the last day despite repeated requests to which it was answered: we can't know in which rooms they fixed it and in which they didn't. Are you kidding? Terrible waiting staff, terrible to say the least. Surly, rude waiters, many on internships who didn't speak a word of Italian (like if you asked for chocolate ice cream they gave you lemon, it seems like a joke but it's true). I also had to report to the reception a very unpleasant event of a waiter who addressed, insulting him, a foreign child just because he had walked past him a little bit quickly. They certainly work in a tiring environment (I remember the lack of air conditioning) with a full hotel and also some unkind characters towards them as unfortunately happens everywhere, but this does not authorize you to insult a child with swear words in front of other children. Nothing exceptionally clean but I have never found the room dirty either. Common areas definitely need better care (cleaning of stairs / paths etc). The hotel also enjoys a fantastic location both as sea, park and bay. Special mention to the Diving, really good (wonderful three-hour boat trip), and also to the buffet staff, therefore kitchen, always nice and helpful. Buffet quality but you always found something good. Soft all inclusive speech to be reviewed in my opinion. Drinks after 7pm only at the central bar (pool and beach only water, but why?). Cost of everything that is not included exorbitant (3.50 soy cappuccino for another terrible). At breakfast if you are either vegan or lactose intolerant you have to settle for little choice for anything else. I would say adequate beach management, kind and helpful lifeguards. I didn't use the pool much because in Sardinia it seems wasted but I still found it adequate for the structure. I am certainly not a fan of entertainment but I still found it decent. I must mention, unfortunately not in a nice way, the mini club really poorly managed. Not very engaging with children, even kind staff, but uninteresting games and poorly managed in general. You never knew where they were, the activities offered, they don't ask for the name and surname of the children or the number of parents, in short there is no entry register (a sign of little professionalism in my opinion) so much so that our children who have always gone to other structures, after the first day and a half did not want to set foot there anymore. And I must say the girls were not engaging, in the sense that if you want to come (if they were there) come, otherwise it's okay. I had never been with the Futura company, but if this is the standard of the facilities, I will never go back or recommend it to anyone. I have been to Sardinia with both Alpitour and Delphina, and in particular the latter, by shipping a little more, offer a far superior service.

04/07/2025: Great location, beach and clean water, immersed in a nature reserve in a suggestive atmosphere. Close to the airport. Services for babies 0-3 years were beyond expectations, 24-hour bottle service, and fantastic assistance and entertainment. Cons? The structure needs to be renovated and the air conditioning did not work in the restaurant area, reported to reception the first few days, they said they had fixed it, but in reality it did not work. Too bad it would be a top structure, if it were renovated. Room cleaning ok. Nice pool (there are also comfortable pools for children, perfect for the very young) Good and varied food. Top Sardinian evening.
