Siculishh In Taormina

The guys who run the place are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food paired with the wines (it is appropriate to say it in this order) was really good and well prepared, with an extra note for the trofie with anchovy butter and breadcrumbs, truly delicate. The wines are all natural, as we wanted. We recommend a tasting of 3/4 glasses, for a special journey.

Lovely wine bar with local craft wines where the staff could tell a lot about the wine and the winemaker. The food was also good. Worth a visit if you want to try good wines from the island with character. The staff flexible to make our experience in the best way which we appreciated, as we had children with us.

My favorite restaurant in all of Taormina! My husband and I had an amazing experience at Siculishh. The chef Gabriele made us feel so welcome and hand picked each bottle of wine to pair with our tasting menu. The wine was some of the best I ever had. It really made me appreciate the taste of the food and how the wine complimented each bite. I have food allergies to dairy, nuts and sesame and Gabriele and the staff was able to accommodate and create a customized menu for me! I’ve never had that treatment before and I was blown away. The eggplant caponata was the best I’ve ever had and I’m still thinking about it to this day. They were even able to make dairy free ravioli for me stuffed with delicious fish with a light tomato sauce. The baccalà dish with the couscous was extremely flavorful. We had such special treatment and their team is very talented. I would 100% recommend coming here and it’s off the beaten path so it’s nice to escape the crowds.

In a predominantly very busy town, this restaurant can be found in a quiet street and is quintessentially the classic ‘hidden gem’. If you love your food and wine then Bistrot Siculishh is definitely for you! Dining is across two shop front type properties, exhibiting an almost old world charm but also strangely with a slightly contemporary feel. Food and drink apart, the most striking impression we had of Bistrot Siculishh was the passion of the two young ‘servers’, they are much, much more than this, their knowledge of wine and the food was impressive and delivered in the most exuberant, informed and downright enthusiastic fashion. You cannot fail to be swept along with their description and recommendations. Food and wine - tasting menu and a la carte mixed with paired wine options or just a glass (min two glasses if the bottle has to be opened which is nothing less than reasonable). Food servings can be viewed as a tapas style but I would prefer to describe it as a tasting style presentation. Unlike many restaurants, the whole table does not have to take the tasting menu which is a refreshingly flexible option. Of our four diners, three had the white potato pie for starters. Served with mackerel and an intense lemon powder this was exquisite. The remaining dish was the parsley sponges with cod foie gras, anchovies and goats cheese which was beautifully presented and very tasty. For main course, our party had the baccala fillets served on couscous with olives, capers and saffron which were delicious. I opted for the slow cooked Sicilian brisket with a blueberry and red wine reduction paired with salad - wow, the brisket was just melt in the mouth and one of the most flavoursome meats I have ever tasted. Wines are mainly from small, local wineries and across the wines we were offered, we couldn’t fault the recommendations. Desserts are not advertised and change daily. Prior to it being offered , typically English we joked it would be apple pie but lo and behold it was an option with ice cream. We couldn’t refuse this and were definitely not disappointed. Individual pies, crunchy apple and a small portion of ice cream rounded off a delightful meal. We had a thoroughly enjoying and informative evening and we would definitely recommend Bistrot Siculishh.

Everything about Siculishh was fabulous - the food was impeccable, the wines were lovely, and the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We stumbled upon this place on our first day in Taormina and we were genuinely so excited at finding this place as there are an overwhelming amount of touristy places to eat in Taormina and this felt the complete opposite! Simple food done really well with a great wines to complement - and there were great vegetarian options on the menu too! Would highly recommend 🙏

Teníamos reservado este pequeño restaurante para nuestra primera noche en Taormina, afortunadamente en una calle fuera de la marabunta del centro de la ciudad y acertamos de pleno. Se trata de un pequeño restaurante que ofrece un trato magnifico, amable y simpatico, nos atendió una chica muy simpatica y para los vinos un chico superprofesional que nos dirigió hacia unos vinos de pequeñas bodegas Sicilianas magníficos que no gustaron mucho. Tomamos para compartir 1 Triple de Caponata Tradicional, con glaseado de calabaza y vinagre de ciruela con Caballa, vinagre balsámico solidificado y almendra. 1 de Raviolis frescos a base de huevo rellenos de queso ricotta, con mantequilla con infusión de limón, parmesano rallado y pistachos tostados DOP Raffadali, 1 de Trofie fresco a base de huevo con mantequilla infusionada con anchoas y pan rallado tostado. 2 Dolci. 4 copas de vino (32.-Euros).- TOTAL: 95,50.- Euros. Magnifica relacion calidad precio, muy muy recomendable.

The food was really delicious. The prices are a bit too high for these small portions. In conclusion we payed 90€ for two persons for 3 meals to share and 3 personalized wine accompaniments. Fine arrangement and really friendly owners.

Such an amazing experience! They really knowtheir wines and are excited to share the knowledge if you want to hear it. The food was also so different and delicious! We choose our own food but did the wine paring to accompany it! 10/10!! Thank you so much for a great experience and making space for us without a reservation!
