It was a great decision to go there. We saw flamingos on the distance but also it was a nice walk around. We were at the beginning of December and it was nice weather so we could see the birds. Amazing experience.

Beautiful place. Too bad a thief broke our window in the parking lot... We later discovered that this is something that happens very often. Attention!!

Impressive nature! There are countless birds, the most interesting of which are of course the flamingos. A spacious area, lizards, birds, crabs, etc. Many viewing posts for watching the birds. Lots of information, including QR codes, so you can identify the sounds of the birds.
Bring binoculars if possible! The animals are free and therefore do not always stay close to visitors. This is not a zoo, but a nature reserve!
Staff is super nice. It's not your fault that admission is now required. Also for locals. The entire area is perfectly maintained and free of rubbish.
Difficult with a stroller/wheelchair: the paths are partly made of sand!
Some people just visit the beach here. But be careful, it is a nature reserve!! No noise or beach games allowed! Please be decent and protect this wonderful piece of earth!
The nature reserve also includes Eloro, Marianelli and Calamosche.
Admission is €3.50, only payable with a card. There are also family tickets. Once paid, entry is valid for the whole day, even if you leave the reserve and want to go back in at one of the other entrances. Entrance ticket is proof of card payment, keep it safe! Opening hours change depending on the season, currently 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This means that you can pay entry until 5 p.m. - there is no check to see whether you have already left the reserve at 5 p.m.
There is a paid, guarded parking lot at the main entrance (Tonnara) in summer, which costs €5. It is closed in winter and people park chaotically along the already narrow access road. Therefore avoid on public holidays in winter! Don't leave any valuables in the car! THIEVES!!
We come here regularly and love it! The little one loves the reserve!

Beautiful and large, indeed very large, impossible to visit it all on foot in one day. You enter by paying a ticket but the beaches are ok, sandy and with crystal clear water.
