The Vendicari tuna fishery is a natural oasis not to be missed if you're visiting Sicily's inland coast. It's stunning both in winter and summer, with Mediterranean scrub and the occasional pink flamingo.

Visited in October for a walk. You can walk for hours along the trails to some beaches designated for swimming. It's important to understand that you're in a nature reserve and as such must be respected and experienced with the right spirit. Enter as a guest and on tiptoe.

The reserve is beautiful, naturalistic, and very wild, with little attention to detail. Little information, no maps, unmarked trails, and no organization whatsoever. Entrance fee is €3.50 per person.

You can stroll through reeds and dunes, with the sea on one side and the lake area populated by various bird species on the other. During this time of year, it's a true oasis of peace and tranquility. Entrance fee is €3.50. The tuna fishery area is well-maintained. It's a shame there's no adequate parking area. I hate to imagine the chaos in the summer, given the narrow road and the cars parked along it.

14/01/2026: Congratulations, it was the best first course in Augusta. My favorite was the "pasta alla massaia." The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

05/01/2026: For a truly excellent pizza, this is the place to be. The interior is modern and clean. I found the service to be correct, but not very attentive in terms of timing, despite the small number of customers. My espresso arrived much later than the dessert I ordered at the same time. I would ask for a little extra attention next time, but I normally never do. P.S. The owner should update the opening hours on Google Maps.
28/12/2025: Excellent pizza, the only flaw... I can't understand why only 50 cents are deducted from a mini pizza compared to a full one, when in reality half a dough ball is used, it makes no sense.
