Shalai Restaurant In Linguaglossa

We stayed at this property last weekend. I'll start with what I liked. The Shalai is a finely renovated late 19th-century building, elegant and welcoming. The strong points are definitely the restaurant and the kindness of the staff. It also has a spa, which, although small, is still usable and enjoyable. The downside, at least in our experience, was the rooms. We had a superior double room: nice, but not excellent value for money. Although it was reasonably spacious, the bathroom was not up to par with the rest of the property, especially since the shower curtain was dated and unhygienic, unlike even one-star hotels these days. Here's a tip for the property: the property is amazing, the staff is a plus, the spa is delightful, and the restaurant is top-notch, but please, remove those curtains.

Didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner in the restaurant. Where do I start with this one? This place has a Michelin star, and, not long after you take your seat, you'll understand why. The ambience is perfect, and the staff are amazing. We went for wine pairings, and they worked flawlessly. The sommelier was not just incredibly knowledgeable about wine (as you'd expect) but also very playful and friendly. We had a few nice interactions as the meal progressed. The whole experience was perfect from end to end, and for us it set a very high bar for restaurants in Sicily. I would visit again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful 2-night stay at Shalai Hotel. Breakfast is rich and delicious, though missing vegetables. Dinner is superb - pigeon breast, horse fillet, seabass, and lemon dessert are divine. 5/5, highly recommended.

We booked a superior deluxe room for 3 people at a cost of €300, we were given a classic double room with an additional bed, moreover positioned in front of the exit of the external balcony. Hot air not working, the person at reception tells me it is only cold air, my daughter gets hungry in the afternoon snack, I contacted the reception and they have nothing... we had very high expectations that unfortunately were not met... Super spa very nice and welcoming, relaxing massage successful 🤝 restaurant 🔝

Delicious food. We went to Shalai for dinner and ordered the meat menu. Great food, extensive variety of local wines, friendly and fast service. It was a great experience

Shalai Resort is an elegant boutique hotel in Linguaglossa, on the slopes of Mount Etna, in the province of Catania. This 4-star hotel is located in a beautifully restored 19th-century historic building. The rooms feature a modern yet warm style, some with whirlpool tubs. The Shalai Restaurant, with its contemporary Sicilian cuisine and 1 Michelin star, offers excellent dishes and a spacious and well-stocked wine cellar. There is a spa with a Turkish bath, whirlpool, sauna, and wellness treatments; although small, it is very welcoming. Perfect for relaxing, food, and nature experiences. I highly recommend it ❗️
