Elegant venue and delicious food, an experience to be repeated

TLDR: One of the best, healthy, vegan meals you'll have in all of Italy from owners who care in the cleanest and cutest restaurant. We have eaten across most of Italy and this is better than the €250+ meals we have had. Atmosphere: Finally a restaurant that is loved and well-kept. It is super clean, there is a "vibe" as the kids say these days, and love is poured into every detail. Even some of the expensive, Michelin restaurants in Roma and Torino let their bathrooms go or some small detail like they did not care anymore. Not at Shakti though. Perfect. Service: they likely do not get many non-Italian tourists, but the server was super nice and used Google translate to talk with us in English. Service speed was perfect, five courses in 2.5 hours. Some other restaurants take FOREVER to bring out courses. NOTE: CASH ONLY! Food: This is where Shakti shines. Every dish was plated like Michelin quality art and also tasted amazing. Each dish was completely different with flavors and textures while not being too fussy. One of the problems we have with a lot of Michelin fine dining is they turn everything into a mousse, foam, or creme and you never have to chew anything. Shakti does it right by giving you the creme with the crunch and all super healthy without all the oil. We left feeling light and refreshed. The set menu changes often so you'll likely get something different our courses were: 1. Falafel bite, homemade "cheese", and a small salad. 2. The world's best millet gnocchi bolognese. 3. Crepe with pesto green beans. 4. White bean and zucchini cake. 5. Mille-feuille All of this for under €40 / person! If you like great food you MUST go. Over two weeks of different restaurants in Italy and this has been the best so far. Do not let the hidden menu, calling for reservations, or cash only deter you. This is magic in your belly.
