A unique restaurant in Genoa, everything is made in meatball form. We had the mixed seafood and mixed meat dish, which I recommend for the first time. The desserts are excellent.

Small but very cute place! We ordered three mixed meatball platters: one seafood platter, one Genoese platter, and one seven-polpette platter. They were all delicious.

Very nice atmosphere, excellent food. My daughter ate delicious homemade tagliolini with meatballs, and I tried the "seven meatballs" dish...very good. We'll be back!

We had a fantastic two-night dining experience at Settpolpette. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. It’s always exciting to discover something unique, and this place definitely delivered. Highly recommend!

While visiting the old port, we stopped for lunch on a Friday. The menu was very original, featuring all kinds of meatballs. The place is very old and charming, and the staff is very friendly.

06/06/2026: The recommended white wine was good. The focaccia was moist and good. The Seabream fresh pasta was light and decent. The owner and staff were friendly, which made me feel good.
04/06/2026: We traveled from Milan specifically to try this historic and renowned restaurant, drawn in by the many Instagram reels showing inviting dishes. Unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely meet our expectations, especially regarding the quantity/price ratio. What didn't work was the Recco focaccia. From the videos, it looked like a generous and rich portion; in reality, for €10, we were served three decidedly thin and "poor" pieces, one even burned! For the first courses, we ordered pasta with country-style pesto. The flavor was good and savory, but the presentation and richness of the ingredients left much to be desired; there was only one green bean and the potatoes were almost invisible. It's unfortunate to say that service to "non-regulars" is so lacking for such a famous establishment, but we had the distinct feeling that there's a disparity in treatment (both in portions and attention) between regulars/acquaintances and those, like us, who are out of town and are seen as "passing tourists." What worked The five fried anchovies were very good, fresh, and a fair portion for the price. Overall, the food is tasty, but for the prices charged, the presentation and the generous portions leave something to be desired. It's a shame, but given the trip and the small portions, we're unlikely to return.
