Scugnizzi Trattoria Vomero In Napoli

A quaint Neapolitan restaurant in Vomero. Excellent food. Reservations recommended.

The kindness of the service. The deliciousness of the cuisine. The relaxed atmosphere despite the myriad objects scattered throughout the place.

As soon as we arrived, a lady, considering the 15-minute wait, offered us glasses of prosecco. Once inside, we appreciated the place, which brought back so many memories with its drawings and old newspaper articles. The memories were also brought back by the dishes we ordered, in which I saw the expert cooking of my grandmother, and later my mother. In the end, I felt at home, not just in a restaurant. Dagli scugnizzi isn't a Sunday lunch away from home, but just like Sundays at home. Congratulations, truly.

We visited four times during our summer vacation. Excellent value for money and friendly, attentive service. Frequented by locals, always a guarantee.

An average restaurant, with very helpful and always polite staff. The dishes are generous and of good quality. The potato and cod gateau (with pecorino cream) is very tasty, as is the pasta alla Nerano. The restaurant features many traditional Neapolitan osteria features, with picturesque photos and newspaper articles lining the walls of the dining room. Alas, there are two downsides: - There are reviews from other users (dating back two weeks, a month at most, prior to this review) featuring inviting photos of pizzas. In fact, I myself came for the pizza, only to be disappointed that the oven had been decommissioned and closed. The head waiter notified us as soon as we sat down. We were too hungry to change restaurants. - After a pleasant dinner, the culinary experience culminates at its best when we receive the receipt. Not so much for the price (which is fair), but for the comment at the end of the receipt. A banal "Juve shit" (photo attached). Furthermore, even in the men's room, there's a newspaper clipping above the toilet, reporting Sarri's transfer to Juventus. A funny comparison of Sarri and defecating, I must admit. However, I find the whole thing shockingly mediocre. I don't understand why a good restaurant should be associated with a football allegiance (in this case, hatred toward another sports club) in such a sloppy and cheap way. Is it perhaps because you're pissed off for having won a tenth of Juventus's share? I'm sorry.

We stopped there twice last week.... The first night when Manchester city vs Napoli was playing we arrived it was full even without a reservation they found us the last table.... The food was great even though they had a lot of guests the service was fast. And we got our food pretty quickly The second night we arrived earlier no one was there yet also excellent food and service The price satisfaction is also excellent

A very beautiful and well-kept place, delicious food, but the real gem are the waiters Luigi and Roberto, hospitable, friendly but also very professional, highly recommended, a must-see for anyone visiting Naples in my opinion......

We were here 4 nights during our holiday. We found the restaurant on the first night because it was close to our apartman. But we kept going back because the staff was very friendly and the kitchen is incredible!

Abbiamo fatto visita a questo ristorante dopo che abbiamo visto il video su TikTok, e ad esser sincero è stato ancora migliore di quello che ci aspettavamo. Il servizio e l’accoglienza eccezionali, il cibo superlativo… veramente lo consigliamo a tutti I buon gustai

Oggi, 1° giugno, cena. Siamo in 7 per una breve esperienza napoletana e, stasera, su indicazione di un signore indigeno, ci dirigiamo in questa trattoria, previa telefonata per capire la loro possibilità ad accoglierci. Buona esperienza in un ottimo ambiente ed con un servizio cordiale. 2 gustosi baccalà arrostiti, 2 buonissimi baccalà alla siciliana, poi calamaro ripieno e polpo arrosto ben fatti. Infine, un commensale ha optato per scialatielli allo scoglio molto buoni (a suo dire). Una bottiglia di locale falanghina, 6 coppette di frutta tipo macedonia e un babà al rhum gustoso. Conclusioni: da consigliare ad amici e parenti in visita al Vomero.
