Very nice place. Professional and attentive service, with just the right amount of time between courses. The staff is friendly and organized. Excellent value for money. The dishes are beautifully presented, including the desserts, which were truly appreciated.

The place is truly welcoming and the staff are incredibly kind. The cuisine is traditional Neapolitan, but if I were to return, I wouldn't opt for the fork menu and would order à la carte. The stuffed zucchini flower was pure poetry. It's a shame the pumpkin pie wasn't fresh.

Nice place just steps from the sea
I had fried pizza, but it was a shame there were whole ham cubes inside. Everything else was fine, including the first course we ate.

Good value for a restaurant in the heart of Vomero, with a focus on tradition and its signature dishes, along with some interesting experimental dishes. The location is carefully curated, with a Neapolitan feel. The service was excellent. I'll return for a further review, as the flavors, while decent, left me a little unsure (the scialatielli, in particular, had a marked acidity).

A beautiful and characteristic location, a typical Neapolitan trattoria in Vomero, welcoming and well-maintained, ideal for a quiet dinner.
I tried the zito alla genovese: the onion flavor was very strong and unfortunately a bit indigestible, while the seafood risotto was decent but lacked the creamy texture that makes the dish truly special.
The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, but the dishes themselves still had room for improvement beyond the expectations created by the location.

OSTERIA SCUGNIZZI
🍽 FOOD: A true immersion in authentic Neapolitan cuisine. From pasta and potatoes with provola cheese, which is absolutely perfect, to classics like Nerano, ziti alla genovese, or eggplant parmigiana. The fish dishes are also excellent, as are the ever-changing daily specials, which feature excellent flavor combinations.
💶 PRICE: Around €30 per person. Considering the portions, quality, and generous portions, the value is excellent.
📍 WHERE: Osteria Scugnizzi – Via Luigi Caldieri, 53/61, Naples.
🕰 WHEN TO GO: A welcoming and authentic atmosphere, perfect for both a Sunday lunch and a dinner with friends. Reservations are practically mandatory on weekends.
💡 #ASCOLTAZIZI: The real star is this: Neapolitan rraù, served in a pot right at the table, still "pipia"—that is, simmering before your eyes—and releasing an irresistible aroma. Inside, you'll find everything you need: tracchiolelle, meatballs, braciole, pieces of beef, and the pork rind chop, according to tradition. A convivial dish, meant to be shared, that alone is worth the evening. You'll take home an unforgettable memory.
