Scjabaca In Palermo

Family of 4 (adults) for lunch on Jan 1st. Nice service. Well located. However disappointed by the food. Dishes looked rather sophisticated in the menu but the output is not up to either the promise or the price ( average taste apart from the tuno, very ungenerous portions and the served raviolis were lukewarm) and we all tried different dishes. All in all, overrated.

Cuidó bien de nosotros. platos auténticos estupendos y uno para aquellos un poco menos aventureros. Me encantaron las aplicaciones de pizza, pasta y berenjena.

We had Coniglio all'olio evo with giardiniera di verdure e ortaggi. Plus a very good wine. All very tasty. The restaurant is highly recommended.

This little restaurant was the best place we ate on our entire trip to Sicily. I'm a food and wine guide in Rome and I know good food.... and this food was made with love and care. The husband-and-wife team, with the husband cooking in the kitchen, and the wife working in the front, made sure that we were happy and checked in with us often about the food. She made an effort to help me choose a nice wine to go with my meal as well. The traditional pasta soup, "pasta mista" was excellent as well as the other dishes. I saved this restaurant in my favorite places so that I can recommend it to friends who will come to visit!

Tres de nosotros comimos en este encantador restaurante, hace unas noches. Habiendo hecho una reserva, nos ofrecieron la opción de un par de mesas al aire libre. Nos alegró descubrir que la mesa estaba elegantemente colocada, con corredores de tela y servilletas. Después de un par de minutos, el chef salió a mostrarnos un poco de pescado fresco, sugiriendo platos que podría hacer con él, si así lo deseamos. Aunque el pescado se veía bien, decidimos pedir en el menú, que parecía incluir versiones elevadas de platos clásicos sicilianos. Cuando pedimos nuestra comida, pedimos consejo sobre una botella de vino adecuada. Nos dieron algunas sugerencias, de diferentes rangos de precios. Mientras esperábamos a que llegara nuestra orden (pedimos pasta y nos informaron que tomaría algún tiempo cocinar, lo que era una buena señal) nos sirvieron una deliciosa diversión - bouche. También nos trajeron una selección de panes, horneados en las instalaciones. Los platos que pedimos eran excelentes. Tanto el primo como el secondo habían conseguido ser a la vez muy sabrosos, pero equilibrados y delicados, sin que ningún ingrediente dominara a los demás. Los platos combinaban hábilmente sabores, eran elegantes e inventivos, sin parecer quisquillosos o llamativos. El ambiente en general era muy relajante y agradable, con un servicio cordial y amable, que no fue en modo alguno intrusivo. Realmente una noche perfecta!
