We get fried mix of sea food for 8 euro. Good but half was warm and half cold I am not sure why, but it was obvious some parts were fried before than the others, still fresh but cold. I recommend to catch on your way!

We had a cone of breaded seafood and an octopus salad, it was really good!! Only downside: apparently it’s open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.!

The best place to eat fresh seafood delights. Good portions at relatively good prices. I just want to ask them to update their opening hours because the information in google maps is quite misleading. Thank you guys!

Posto situato nella Catania antica,tra il duomo e la peschiera...prodotti freschi e cucinati al momento..varietà soddisfacente buona la qualità e il prezzo....personale altamente qualificato....lo consiglio per un mangia e fuggi ...

Se siete al centro storico di Catania enon mancate di passare per la pescheria, lì davanti c'è Scirocco, un must per un pasto veloce di pesce, dal cuoppo di frittura (chiedete quella spinata!! , così non dovete combattere con le spine) alle polpette di gamberi, al couscous con polpo ecc. Tutto squisito! Potete mangiare fuori, appollaiati sugli sgabelli alti, o all'interno seduti al tavolo, o ancora take away. Da non perdere!.

19/01/2025: Tonight by chance I came across this place Filo D'esca and it was an excellent revelation of flavours, everything fresh, very good and very, elegant, clean. Thanks to the very kind and knowledgeable owner Sara, compliments to Mrs Letizia who cooked these delights. I highly recommend this place where I will return soon. 22/12/2024: Optimal. Friendly and qualified staff. Well done chef. Exceptional value for money. I often go to Vico Astemio and I recognize the chef's ability to grow in his work in a natural way. In his dishes you can sense creation and everything with simple and natural products. Compliments. Not everyone can create a fabulous dish with a simple artichoke or trunzo. . The environment is always well looked after. Excellent choice of music. And finally the staff who grew up with the restaurant: perfect, kind, professional and smiling. Go it's worth it.
29/11/2024: A truly remarkable culinary experience at Vico Astemio! The Malvasia and raspberry tiramisu is an extraordinary dessert, surprising the palate with its originality and finesse. The main course Spaghetti with black garlic, anchovies, and sea urchins, strike a perfect balance of bold and harmonious flavors. The young but highly professional staff elevate the experience with attentive and knowledgeable service. The Sicilian chef’s Massimiliano touch is evident in every dish, blending tradition with creativity in an exceptional way. Not to be overlooked is the extensive wine selection, which pairs wonderfully with each course. A must-visit for anyone seeking quality and originality!
