Scialae is a small restaurant in the historic center of Favignana, run by two very friendly people! It's a temple of Sicilian gastronomy, where you can find traditional grandmother's recipes! From arancini "alla carne" and "al burro" (arancini with meat) to caponata, baked anelletti alla palermitana (a kind of pasta), panelle (a type of pasta), cazzilli (potato croquettes with mint and parsley), fried eggplant, and everything else you could want for a Sicilian lunch. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and everything is made and cooked to order, so it's worth waiting a few extra minutes to have the breaded and fried arancini right in front of you! Excellent value!

Petit local simple pour manger sur le pouce le midi dans une rue peu fréquentée proche d’une grande place avec quelques tables à l’intérieur (on peut aussi prendre à emporter). Nous avons juste pris un plat de lasagnes, de la caponata et des croquettes de courgettes fourrées à la mozzarella fondante et tout était très bon pour un prix abordable.

05/08/2025: Non sempre riesco a fare foto,perché la bontà dei piatti,prende la mia attenzione. Riescono sempre a dare il massimo. Grazie per la bontà dei piatti,la cordialità del personale e la semplicità che diventa punto di forza del locale.
21/07/2025: My family have been coming here for years. What you get: a warm welcome, homely freshly cooked food from the freshest ingredients and great value. Do try the amber wine. Cannot understand the reviews that say the place is expensive, certainly if you have the antipasti, pasta, fish or meat main course (served with a salad), fruit and cassatedra (ricotta filled pastries) with wine, it’s brilliant value. Our holidays in Sicily would not be the same without a visit (or two) to Giavanni’s.
