Ardigna In Salemi

A rustic, difficult-to-reach restaurant located on the dark outskirts of Salemi. Despite the sometimes arduous route, the restaurant has a pleasant, rural feel and lends itself to charming, scenic corners. The set menu has increased in price, but the food is still plentiful and tasty, featuring a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and local delicacies. I didn't like the "ammogghio" (anchovy paste) that's placed in the center of the table before you even order, probably because it mistakenly contained a sugary component that isn't present in this type of recipe. Otherwise, everything was tasty and plentiful. The staff was helpful, polite, and disciplined. Nicolò and Angela in particular were lively and cheerful throughout the service. I appreciated the ability to take away any leftover food on small trays. Congratulations to the kitchen team. The only drawback was that I couldn't book because the online number didn't match, or no one answered, or worse, you have to book at least two months in advance. All in all, a pleasant place and good food.

The place is beautiful, the waiters are excellent, the service excellent, the only thing I didn't like was the gluten-free food, the normal food is very good, plentiful, when I ordered the gluten-free they listed the appetizers and so far so good, they listed the first ones and told me that I can order two types of pasta so they tell me what they do and I'm curious about the ravioli with butter and sage but they tell me that there are no ravioli but the pasta and I reply there are no problems, I also order the pasta with mushrooms and speck, they bring the first pasta inedible without flavor we call the waiter and have him take it back the second one arrives even worse, the owner comes irritated, angry, saying that this is the sauce and there is nothing to do I told him that it's the first time I've been here, if you list the types of pasta and I'm curious about these because I've never eaten it you have to be the one to advise me saying that this type of pasta can only be made with ravioli I told him but you have to be the one to Who should recommend me the pasta? Anyway, the discussion went on for a while, he wanted to be right, also because the cook was his wife. In the end, I was left hungry because I only ate a small piece of meat, I wasn't satisfied at all. It's not fair, but never mind, also because I paid in full even though I hadn't eaten everything.

For me, having worked in Trapani for four years, every time I return to this place it's a pleasure!!! High-quality, plentiful food at a fair price. Congratulations!

Typical country farmhouse restaurant with well-prepared and abundant local dishes.

Rustic, beautiful place... local food. It was the first time in my life I'd heard of this place's reputation, and I finally tried it. They were right. Everything is really very good. The menu is rather concise, but you know what? They do that limited menu wonderfully. As they say. Little but good, actually excellent. There's no point in having a menu chock-full of courses when the kitchen doesn't know what to do. Appetizers were full and plentiful, so plentiful I can't remember exactly... first courses: gnocchi and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Second course: pork shank with a broth and potatoes that, oh my, sublime. Well done guys... Congratulations. Highly recommended. I'll be back.

The food was delicious and the portions were enormous. When I finished dinner, I was a little tipsy because there was a quart of wine, a bottle of grappa, and the typical liqueur the restaurant provides, and I drank a little of each, despite being quite full. When one of the waiters (I think the youngest, with short, dark hair) came to the table to ask if we wanted anything else, and while I had the glass in my hand and wasn't holding it very well because I'd had a little to drink, this guy stared at me while he spoke. After that, after 10 minutes, I and the others sitting at the table with me got up and headed for the exit. At the exit, the waiter from earlier was there. He started greeting the people I was with, but he didn't greet me. Even though I was right next to the others, he saw me, and I had extended my hand toward him to say hello. He just walked on and didn't say hello. It's surreal that for something that was obviously not bothersome or annoying to anyone and didn't catch anyone's attention, he got so annoyed that he didn't greet me, something that had happened *only* 10 minutes earlier. Childish and superficial. I hope I never see this guy again in the dining room next time.

We came to the restaurant and there were six of us. The food was delicious, and so was the meat, except for the steak, which was dry. But the rest was excellent. The gnocchi with cream and pancetta and the tagliatelle in carro were excellent. Highly recommended.
