Scacco Matto In Baschi

We only ate at the restaurant...everything was delicious, friendly staff and home cooking at fair prices!

During our motorcycle tour in Umbria, we stopped one night at the "Scacco Matto" hotel on Lake Corbara.....I believe, in all honesty, that it is a really good reference for us Bikers or those who need a reference point on the road from Spoleto to Orvieto and are looking for an informal but friendly and well-equipped place. Here we found the simplicity and cordiality of a beautiful family that manages the structure impeccably with large and clean lake view rooms, a swimming pool and a restaurant that many other managers would envy. In the environment you can breathe all the air of the lake, which honestly we did not know, in its beauty and the decades-long hospitality that the place boasts thanks to its founder Vittor Ugo and his sons with their family who now carry on their father's company with great commitment. Rating 10.

Good food, beautiful view from the terrace where you can see the Corbara lake, very quiet. Great attention and courtesy in the service. Excellent "bisteccaccia" really a specialty!

Ate dinner. Excellent dishes and attentive and kind staff. Recommended if you are looking for excellent value for money

Siamo stati per pranzo in questo ristorante: * Servizio e cortesia con professionalità "Familiare", *Cibo : ANTIPASTI ""si può fare"" sia tagliere che bruschette. i PRIMI sono da saltare a piedi pari ,c'è da lavorare tanto su cottura e sapore dei condimenti. (i prezzi sono da grandi aspettative ) I SECONDI sono molto buoni ,sia la bisteccaccia che la mista , DOLCI : una speciale nota per la PANNA COTTA fatta da loro, il resto dei dolci solo robetta dozzinale da offrire in regalo per aver mangiato li . * il Ristorante: un po demodè ,anche " il portico o terrazzo" , molto semplice . Per il resto quiete e panorama sono una sicurezza.

We stayed overnight at Scacco Matto during the Cammino dei Borghi Silenti. The structure is slightly off the beaten path but still an excellent base with a beautiful view of the lake. The rooms are basic but very clean. The dinner made at the property was excellent, especially the "steak", one of their strong dishes

Simple environment, nice location near the lake, clean, spacious and impeccable bathrooms Delicious first courses and the meat tender and cooked just right. Fair prices and everyone very kind and friendly
