We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday in late September, sitting outside. Friendly service, a decent wait, but the dishes turned out to be more than delicious. Fettuccine with bacon and pistachios, and paccheri with octopus ragù. Followed by a Mediterranean grill... all delicious. We were very satisfied.

We had an excellent visit at this restaurant on our visit to Castello Normano. It is adjacent to the square with the castle, so a very convenient location. The food was delicious and service was fast. We especially enjoyed the pasta dishes. Simon, our waiter, was very kind and helpful. Thanks for a great experience!

This was the best pizza I've ever had. Really delicious, made with good ingredients. The service was nice and fast. We were very satisfied.

We stopped for dinner. We parked nearby in a covered paid parking lot, as it's in a restricted traffic zone. The first course was good, with generous portions; everything seemed fresh. They also have drinks to pair with dinner or as an aperitif. Friendly, kind, and attentive staff. Recommended!

We stumbled upon the Scacco Matto restaurant quite by chance. Perhaps it was the beautiful view of the castle that prompted us to stay. We were certainly not disappointed. It was a wonderful evening. The two waiters, one of whom was one of the co-owners, were extremely friendly, something I've rarely experienced. Not overly friendly, but honest, like you would expect from good friends. This made us feel very comfortable. My husband was served in perfect English. We were recommended a regional white wine, and the appetizers were already excellent. The main course was exquisite. I didn't have room for dessert, but the waiter, in his charming way, persuaded me to try the award-winning amaro from the region. We will definitely take this amaranca home with us. Thank you for this wonderful evening with you. We will remember it for a long time and wish you much success in the future.

Siamo capitati per caso in questo posticino in attesa di poter visitare il castello ed è stata una scoperta meravigliosa. Abbiamo mangiato due opzioni di pesce e una vegetariana ed era tutto buonissimo e abbondante. Il cameriere, Simone credo, è stato simpaticissimo, molto preparato e gentile. Ci ha preparato anche degli ottimi cocktail personalizzati. Scegliete questo posto a occhi chiusi, non ve ne pentirete.

Locale visto passando per caso vicino al lungomare di aci castello, in prima battuta eravamo inizialmente restii a fermarci a causa di qualche vecchia recensione negativa, tuttavia abbiamo deciso di dare una possibilità al locale, e con grandi risultati. Cous cous spettacolare, servito asciutto con brodo a parte in modo che il commensale possa scegliere quanto bagnarlo, anche antipasto di mare buonissimo e lo stesso la pasta ai frutti di mare. Fanno il pane e lo servono appena sfornato. L’oste è molto simpatico, disponibile e di compagnia, senza essere invadente e consiglia bene sui piatti . Anche i dolci molto buono. Fanno orario continuato e sono quasi di fronte al castello. Lo consiglio vivamente (noi siamo tornati due volte)
