This evening I discovered Sauris&borc da Bria, a true Friulian restaurant at Via Pietro Toselli 2, a crossroads of Via Padova. The quaint decor helps you relive the old Friulian taverns. Upon entering, you immediately notice a delicious aroma that whets your appetite. I had the rabbit with puree, a delight for the palate, accompanied by masterfully sautéed wild herbs and sweet and sour onions. I savored everything slowly; it's not so easy to rediscover the flavors of the past. I finished with a hot Gubana soaked in slivovec. The friendly owner recommended it, and it's a worthy choice to end a wonderful dinner. The bill was super fair, highly recommended, and a great dinner!

The atmosphere is very welcoming and characteristic. The staff is friendly. We ate delicious traditional dishes, and the portions were above average. We'll be back to try other specialties. The prices are absolutely reasonable!

I wasn't very familiar with Friulian cuisine, other than frico, and since this evening I've fallen in love with it. We started dinner with Sauris lard crostini and frico, followed by carbonara and beef tartare. For dessert, gubana. All washed down with Friulian beers and liqueurs. All the dishes, including the alcoholic beverages, are explained in great detail by the manager, who is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely kind and helpful. The dishes are all truly delicious, nothing more to complain about. We know they'll start serving aperitifs soon, too; we'll definitely try them!

A welcoming, small but delightful place, the staff are knowledgeable in the presentation of the dishes and attentive to every request. Each course is a pure joy, we are transported back to childhood when our grandmother or mother cooked us dishes that were then masterpieces that only they were capable of making. Essentially, the chef puts his heart into what he does and the result is excellent, I will gladly return.

Delicious restaurant with Friuli specialties. My tip: Frico and Battuta con uovo. The chef is always ready with a tip or explanation; a definite recommendation.

Ci siamo trovati proprio bene al Sauris, accolti calorosamente dal Gestore che ci ha servito con la massima cura . Piatti ben cucinati della tradizione friulana.
