Very good food and beautiful views

The restaurant is a refined venue, with an excellent location and an elegant atmosphere. It has a beautiful terrace overlooking the side nave of the San Paolo basilica, certainly very suggestive in summer. We had dinner with a couple of friends, good dishes (many of them have a gluten-free option), perhaps prices a little above the norm but all very pleasant.

The location is both a blessing and a curse for this restaurant. Characteristically located on the remains of an ancient Roman burial ground, romantically overlooking the side nave of the Basilica of S. Paolo Fuori le Mura, yet if you find yourself dining on the terrace on a sunny day you will have to put up with the "greenhouse effect" caused by the plastic sheet (which is rather old, ruined and dirty...) which risks ruining your lunch. Furthermore, we were forced to place 3 people on a table that could accommodate at most 2; they informed us (kindly) that the table could not be changed. Overall, in terms of general comfort, the experience wasn't great. Good quality food: well-made tonnarelli cacio e pepe, pasta with bite, pappardelle wild boar ragout which is particularly original in flavour; The meat dishes are also good and cooked to perfection. Average desserts. Courteous service, but with a few too many distractions. Quality/price ratio: average.

We were with my family, a fantastic discovery for lovers of good food. The owner welcomes you attentively, while the menu, which combines tradition and innovation, stands out for the high quality of the raw materials. The possibility of choosing gluten-free versions for most dishes demonstrates special care for each customer. And finally, an excellent coffee makes the experience even more memorable. We will return soon with confidence.

Il locale è piccolo ma carino, caldo. Il personale è gentile e rapido. La cucina è a vista quindi un punto a favore per il ristorante. Passando al menu, ricco e stagionale, ci ha deluso tantissimo. La qualità delle materie prime è di qualità standard. Ordiniamo la millefoglie salata ovvero con zucca, patate e timo. Ci arriva ricca di fonduta di burro e formaggi vari quindi il sapore dei formaggi era sovrastante. La Trippa Mon Amour ci ha deluso ugualmente, la fonduta era troppa e il sapore della trippa di vitello era inesistente. Molto buono il raviolo di Saulo, ripieno di brasato, sugo di carne e tartufo. Nulla di eccezionale il cappello del prete. Mediocri i dolci. Abbiamo preso una bottiglia di Rosso Umbro e due bottiglie di acqua. Abbiamo speso 50€ a persona. Troppo calcolando il rapporto qualità/prezzo

Sono stata per cena, il posto è molto carino e il personale gentile, il cibo devo dire non male ma ad essere onesta non mi ha entusiasmata in maniera particolare forse a mio gusto cucina un pó “pesante”, ci tornerei sicuramente per provare un aperitivo in questa location suggestiva
