Superb café/pastry shop with an incredible setting and atmosphere. Perfect for a quick coffee break at the beginning, middle, or end of the day.

Pasticceria Sandri
Entering Pasticceria Sandri in Perugia was for me an experience that went beyond a simple dessert: it was like taking a little journey back in time.
As soon as I walked through the door on Corso Vannucci, I felt like I was entering a place where history truly reigns. The elegant furnishings, the display cases filled with sweets, and the refined atmosphere made me slow down, almost to enjoy every detail. This isn't just a pastry shop: it's one of those places that seem to preserve the city's memory.
I sat down and calmly gazed at the windows. The desserts are presented with an almost artistic care: chocolates, cakes, pastries, and traditional specialties. I chose a dessert accompanied by a coffee, and from the first taste, I understood why this place is so famous. The flavor was delicate yet intense, with an immediately noticeable quality of ingredients.
What struck me most was the atmosphere. There's an elegant calm, almost reminiscent of times gone by. Tourists and Perugians mingle unhurriedly, and you get the feeling that time passes a little slower here. The service also seemed attentive and professional, discreet yet present.
Sitting there, watching the people come and go on the main street, I realized that certain places aren't just places to grab a bite: they're small city institutions. Pasticceria Sandri gave me just that impression.
If I return to Perugia, I already know I'll stop here again. Not just for a dessert, but to rediscover that elegant, slightly nostalgic atmosphere that makes this place truly special.

Small, historic café. Excellent cappuccino with a cornet or a delicious pastry. Quick and efficient service. Not too expensive: 5 cappuccinos and 5 pastries for €19. Limited seating. Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautiful cafe
On the recommendation of a local we dropped in for a coffee at this small but beautiful historic cafe on Corso Vanucci. The coffee was nothing special, but the gorgeous crystal chandeliers, wood panelling and the glass display cabinets were dazzling.

It's more than a bar, more than a pastry shop: it's a place where having a coffee or savory or sweet treat brightens your day and makes you happy! The staff is always kind, polite, and attentive. The place is a dream, and you'll never want to leave...

A historic pastry shop with a well-deserved reputation. In my experience, it's one of the best chocolates, perfectly thick and hot, accompanied by a dollop of whipped cream. This deliciousness prompted me to return a few days later and try the maritozzo, which I highly recommend. Fast and attentive service, smiling and knowledgeable staff. The window display is as refined as the shop itself, right in the city center.

It does a few things but they're done well. If there's not too much of a queue, it's worth trying, especially since it's very nice inside and there are even some tables where you can sit.

A very quaint place. The desserts and coffee are good. The staff is very professional, if not very friendly. Prices are quite high, especially when it comes to seating. The bill lacks transparency, as it appears to be overcharged for table service instead of clearly indicating the service charge.
