The Kaiserschmarrn is delicious. One of the best in the area. Sitting outside, you have a great view of Tirol Castle. Sitting inside, you'll find a wonderful vaulted cellar. Friendly service, and the food is truly delicious, and reasonably priced.

I was there today for the second time during my 10-day vacation in South Tyrol. The location is beautifully situated in nature, the food is delicious, the prices are moderate, and the service is friendly.

We spent a week in Tirolo and ate there every day (not on our closing days, of course). We love the Sandgruberhof. The food is excellent, and you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view of the castle. We'll be back.

In a wonderful historic and scenic setting, you can refresh yourself with cool drinks and fortify yourself with delicious dishes. A wonderful Törggelekeller with a uniquely beautiful outdoor seating area. An absolute must when visiting Dorftirol. And the prices are reasonable, too.

5 stars throughout! We stopped here after a hike. It's worth resisting the many rest stops in Tirolo and stopping a few meters further on. We had the speck dumplings and the farmer's bruschetta. Both were sensational, and despite the prime location with a view, they offer good value for money! 💪👍

24/09/2025: We received this insider tip from guests at our hotel: This snack bar is beautifully situated amidst apple orchards. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and escorted to our table. The food and drink selection is extensive, including many South Tyrolean specialties. The price-performance ratio is absolutely excellent. I can recommend this bar to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

05/10/2025: More than a refuge, it's a beautiful restaurant serving excellent food at competitive prices. The building is recently built (or renovated) and features large outdoor spaces. Inside, they've managed to create a modern and functional atmosphere that still respects the aesthetics of a traditional mountain building, where raw wood dominates. This last point is commendable and far from a given, as the modern/traditional mix isn't always so successful.
