San Pietro Sopra Le Acque In Massa martana

My husband and I got married at San Pietro Sopra Le Acque on July 7, 2024, taking advantage of factors we considered essential in choosing the venue: the possibility of having a religious ceremony on-site at the church on site, the proximity of us and our guests (almost all being local), and the reception being held in the park. Our day was exactly as we had imagined, so much so that our friends often remember it as one of the happiest weddings they've ever been a part of (we're probably biased in describing it that way ourselves!). The weather initially seemed to be unhelpful, clearing up only shortly before the ceremony, and for this I will never be able to thank all the staff who went out of their way (despite the tight schedule) to allow us to hold the outdoor reception as we wanted. We will never forget it!

A property with tremendous potential, but in my opinion, it's been underutilized due to poor management. The location, a renovated monastery, is very beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast, contrary to what some of the reviews read, isn't exceptional; it's a standard buffet with industrial, not artisanal, products. The dining room staff is quite attentive to guests' needs, while the reception staff needs training as they're unable to handle standard guest requests. In our case, they messed up the quote first and then the room, so much so that upon arriving at the property, without being informed, we found ourselves in an economy room despite having paid for a classic room. When we pointed this out, they told us that nothing would change, that the rooms were the same, and that ours was the last room available.

It took us some time to write this review, because we wanted to make sure to properly put into words just how incredible our wedding at San Pietro Sopra le Acque was. From our initial meeting with Sara, we felt there was something special about this venue and our instincts were absolutely right. As a couple from the United States, we planned our wedding entirely remote, which at the start was a nerve wracking concept. However, Sara made the entire process so easy and seamless from start to finish. She was so communicative and thorough with all aspects of our three-day event, from connecting us with the best local vendors to making recommendations for our dinner selections when we were unable to visit in person for our tasting. From the moment we stepped foot on the property it was every bit as beautiful as we had dreamed. The venue not only blew us away with its beauty and location, overlooking incredible views of Umbria, but also with the amazing staff that made us and our guests feel right at home. Sara and the rest of the staff truly cared to make every day of our event so special and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. If you are a couple planning a destination wedding, we recommend San Pietro Sopra le Acque a million times over. Our wedding is something we will forever cherish and never forget. The perfect location for the wedding you‘ve always dreamed about at a cost you can afford. The San Pietro team became our family. Their care and professionalism was uncomparable. The only thing they didn‘t do was walk our daughter-in-law down the isle 🤣 Excellent project management, flawless exection, amazing food, historical setting, ancient cyprus trees, and even messages written in the rocks. Look no further; no location can top San Pietro‘s value/value for money.

They met with us multiple times over Zoom, welcomed our in-laws for a tour and tasting, helped us select the perfect vendors, and brought our vision to life with ease and elegance. On the wedding day itself, everything ran flawlessly—and if anything didn’t, we never knew it. Sara and her crew handled everything with such calm and professionalism that we were able to relax and fully enjoy our celebration. Their ability to manage details behind the scenes is unmatched.
