1) What's the place like? After more than 7 or 8 years, I'm returning to this now historic Asian restaurant located in the equally historic "Four Towers" area of Perugia. When it opened, if memory serves, it was larger and the food wasn't exactly divine (which is why we haven't been back). The place is now a simple rectangle of about 100 square meters (including the kitchen and bathrooms), with one side completely windowed. Inside, there are about 25 tables, many small. The design is quite pleasant, although not exactly in step with the times. The bathrooms are unisex but nice. The music is a bit low and not very in keeping with the place. It wasn't a muggy day (early August), but still, due to the air conditioning being off, it was hot inside. The completely shaded parking lots are very welcome, even if they're placed in a bizarre way (between one tree and another). Prices are high, but not at the level of many other competing restaurants (€17.90 + €2.50 for a 75cl bottle of water). Service was fairly quick, and the staff were quite friendly. The order limits were annoying. 2) How's the food? The menu is extensive, and the ingredients seemed quite fresh, but the quality of the dishes wasn't exactly stellar (like the plating). Two types of sweet bread were also served, as a sort of treat. -Appetizers: The ravioli were very sticky and hard to peel off the paper, but otherwise, the carpaccio and tartare were quite good (3 out of 4 points). -Sushi: Not bad, but I've had better, given that the rice was very bland. The only truly good one was the one with truffle (3/4) -First course: Rice spaghetti was quite well made, but the soup left me a bit disappointed, as it lacked flavor and had a lot of hard pieces in it (3/4) -Second course: Shrimp full of feces and strange-tasting sauces (2/4) -Other: There are many dishes I've never seen anywhere else. I'd have to go back at least three times to try them all. 3) Is it worth it? The place was practically empty (Monday afternoon), and I honestly don't understand why, given that overall it was a pretty positive dining experience, even if a few small errors in the kitchen kept this place from reaching 5 stars. In total, I ate 16 courses without any particular problems, and if I remember correctly, I had some bottled water left over (a rarity). - 'Bandix Travels' final rating: 38 out of 50 points (Perugia AYCE average: 35)

Sushi Samurai: a guarantee! Top in every respect! Extremely fresh fish, dishes with attention to detail and flavors that conquer at first taste. Service not very fast but better 😂 and courteous. Each time a confirmation: if you are looking for good sushi, this is the right place!

Restaurant Sun

16/07/2025: Welcoming and well-kept. Friendly staff, very attentive and courteous owner. Excellent food!
19/06/2025: Here we are in another historic Chinese restaurant in Perugia, which however has only been offering a menu in line with competing restaurants and with an All You Can Eat formula for a few years. It is located along the main road of Via Settevalli and there is both a small parking lot in front of the entrance of the restaurant and two larger parking lots of adjacent businesses. There is no unpleasant odor in the air. 1) What is the restaurant like? To be honest, I liked the pre-renovation style much more, now it feels like entering a sort of canteen on a ship. But apart from the somewhat questionable design, the tables (about 15?) are quite spacious, with comfortable chairs, fluid tablets, and nice and clean bathrooms. The service is quite fast and professional but the staff is a bit too cold and detached (the only thing they said to me in two hours was asking for the table number at the cashier). Chinese piano-bar style music at a pleasant volume. No other detail struck me positively or negatively. 2) How is the food? Overall, the menu is well-stocked (but unfortunately without Thai dishes), good plating, but with some doubts about the freshness of the raw fish. -Appetizers: Apart from the spicy and sour soup, the carpaccio and tartare had a questionable consistency and a strange flavor. The ravioli were also disappointing (1/4) -Sushi: Apart from the uramaki with black rice that seemed to have been prepared for hours, it was overall pleasant (2/4) -First courses: Quite good but could be improved (3/4) -Second courses: As above (3/4) The sweet bread in the shape of a bunny is available but unfortunately limited to only one piece per person 3) Is it worth it? Let's say that it was not an experience in line with the price paid (for lunch, €20.50 with a bottle of water). If the price had been AT LEAST 1€ less I could have turned a blind eye (but not that much, since there are competing restaurants where you can eat better for less than 19€), but as things stand I cannot warmly recommend the visit. - Final 'Bandix Travels' rating: 29 points out of 50 (average of AYCE in Perugia: 35)"

Ristorante Valentina

17/07/2025: Very nice location, with available parking. Very cold inside due to the air conditioning. The main problem was one: we ordered vegetarian sushi, but the avocado wasn't ripe yet, so it was very hard to chew.
12/07/2025: The staff are always very friendly, the place is cozy, and the menu has some great options. The waiters are all very kind, welcoming, and friendly. The ravioli are all very good, as are the tartare, carpaccio, and sashimi, and there are even some differences in the seasonings for the various cuts. I've tried a few main courses, and the grilled shrimp are my favorite. The rolls are quite filling, but they're worth a try, especially the spicy ones. A small but delightful restaurant with free parking in front. For dinner, the all-you-can-eat menu is €25.90, plus a €1 cover charge, and water, which costs €1.50 for a 50cl bottle and €3 for a 75cl bottle. Plus, if you're local, you can also get a stamp card; for every so many stamps, you get a little gift. I think it's my favorite chilled-out sushi spot.
