Based on the principle that "the murderer always returns to the scene of the crime", I decided to revisit a restaurant where I had always enjoyed myself: Sale Grosso. I started with a remarkable dish of spaghetti with clams and then continued in my best tradition with an excellent mixed fry. All washed down with one of my favorite wines, Vermentino (of which I never remember whether the production is Tuscan or Sardinian, both excellent in any case). The trip ended with an excellent cream ice cream produced by the Gelateria delle Moline (incidentally: one of the best ice cream shops on earth). What can I say: as Brancaleone da Norcia says... Adelante, adelante... towards Sale Grosso!

This is really a wonderful place for dinner. The food is too notch and it's quiet. Even though it's in Old Town, it feels like you're eating in "real" Bologna. Great staff, great food)wine, reasonably priced

This was our favourite restaurant in Bologna. The food was superb, really fresh, innovative and delicious. The waiter was very helpful in talking us through the menu and recommending dishes, and the restaurant had a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Leave room for dessert, they were amazing!

01/07/2024: Sono stato in questo posto di recente… accoglienza perfetta, pietanze squisite. Ero stato 4 anni fa in questo posto ed è rimasto esattamente come mo ricordavo… In particolare, consiglio i tortellini in crema di parmigiano e le polpette di mortadella… ma nel complesso è veramente tutto molto buono!
16/03/2024: Locale molto carino , pulito , arredi semplici ma nel contesto accoglienti . Personale gentilissimo. Menu della tradizione bolognese con qualche piatto a base di pesce . Flan di radicchio molto buono , tagliatelle alla bolognese nella media , cotolette alla petroniana da urlo , dolci molto buoni. Prezzo medio-alto.
